Pep Boys

Make sure you check out the person who is working on your car and that they've done EVERYTHING they were supposed to do after working on your car. \r \r From my experience, they can't do something as simple as check a battery and change the water out. All in all, unsatisfactory. I can't trust them to do their job. more

I took my car to pepboys because I was tired of dealing with those other individualy owned auto repair shops. It was always "yes we will take care of the problem" and when I would pick my car up, there was always another issue. And being that I am a woman I truely believe that it is easier to go around the bush when dealing with us. So I had heard that taking it to Pepboys would be better service and that almost all their work is guaranteed or some kind of waranty. So I did, I went ahead and took it there. Everyone was very attentive and they sure made me feel comfortable. Although it was going to cost me a large amount, I felt confident that, that was a good move. The car was to be given within a week to two, It took them nearly a month. When I went back, as soon as I drove it off the lot, the problem occured in about 3 blocks away from the shop. I was so devastated. I'm still dealing with them and now, They are not as nice and bearing as they were. Again I am getting the run around. more

Went in to buy 2 tires and get the oil changed on my Xterra, went home after the service was completed and my husband checked it out and saw that the oil filter was from the place I had last had my oil changed (The Nissan Dealer), long story short PEP BOYS never changed the oil. When I called the manager he said for me to bring it in and he would check it out, when I went in He wasnt there, he had left 5 minutes after making plans to take cae of the matter. Called corporate and they shoved me back down to that same manager. \r In the end I got back the $35 I paid to get the oil changed and a pat on the back. Pros: Nice snacks Cons: Customer Service was real bad! more
