I just moved to Denton. Before I moved, I spent $1,700 getting my car all revved up for my cross country move. \r I took my Ford Focus in to Pep boys by the golden triangle mall for a simple oil change. The guy tried to get me to spend money on a whole bunch of other stuff, trying to convince me that I 'needed' it - since I am a yougn woman I guess he figured I wouldn't know any better. I finally had to very firmly say "No, just an oil change." The entire atmosphere was very disrespectful and unprofessional. \r Then when I got my car back, one of my rear turn signals was out - they wouldn't fix it unless I gave them $15, so I left. I'll figure it out muself. I really believe they messed with the light. \r Don't go here. more

took my car in late Friday afternoon for 2 tires, asked them to put the new ones on the front and move the old front ones to the rear and check one for a slow leak. came in Saturday to pick it up, put the tires opposite of where I asked them to and the tire with the leak was almost flat. then they want to argue about that's how they do things. Whatever happened to the customer is always right. customer service sucked more

I went to Pep Boys thinking I only needed a tire and an alignment. But after the Service Manager went out to my car with me, we looked at all the tires and realized they were all in not so great shape. He was careful to explain the issues and consequences. I was getting worried about the price, but somehow he worked some magic and I was able to buy all 4 tires and get my alignment for about $100 more than what I was going to pay for just 1 tire and alignment. I really appreciate the time he took to take a look... I have 4 kids and I am thankfull that they will be riding on good tires now! This isn't my first time to go to Pep Boys in Denton, I have always had good service and will continue to be a repeat customer. Between my husband, my two sons and myself..we have 6 vehicles that need tires, oil, alignments and they will get ALL of our business. Thanks guys! Much appreciated. more

My wife traveling from Houston, Tx. called me and stated that her AC wasn't working and she stopped in at the Pep Boys in Denton to get some Freon. They promply told her that she would have to put it in for diagnostics and a littney of test before they could give her any freon. She explained that we have to add freon occasionally and knew what the problem was and what it would take to fix the problem. They refused to add freon only and were very rude to her as well. She called me and I called them and got the same rude ass mgr who told me he didn't care what we knew they wouldn't do the job unless they run their test period. So I am responding with a review of a - 0 for Pep Boys in Denton, Tx. They may take in consideration that they may have family on the road sometime and would want someone to be considerate to them, not look at them like how much can we extract from them. more

Pep Boys is a place I usually go for car cleaning supplies and to see what kind of gadgets they have for my car. Once a few years ago I purchased some tires from them. Good quality tires, but it took about 5 hours to get 4 tires replaced. I mean come on guys, how hard is it with all the tools right there and handy to you. They just get a satisfactory rating from me. more

I have had nothing but good experiences at the denton location of Pep Boys, i take my cars there for everything, and so does my family. They are very professional. I did not understand what was going on with my car and the manager there took his time to explaine to me (in detail) what was going on. I have been to other shops where i felt that i had been totaly screwed, but not here..I would recommend this shop to anyone. more

Having spent $638.in Pep Boys Las Vegas, Nv to resolve a miss in my # 2 cyllindar. The 'miss' in #2 appeared 3 months later. Pep Boys Denton would not stand behind their guarantee and gave me a $350 to $600. estimate to "diagnose " and repair the same problem again... nor would they stand behind the labor of the Pep Boys Las Vegas...\r I drove about 2 miles on !-35 to Jon's EZ Lube (I-35 and Ft Worth Dr) as a walk in and described the miss in cylinder # 2 to Ralph, an ace mechanic, who repaired my van in only 1 hr and cost me ONLY $30.\r The Vegas Pep Boys had failed to gap the spark plug which was nearly closed, thus causing the 'miss.' The gaps on 3 more plugs were almost closed also. \r Pep Boys NEVER again! more

The receptionist at this shop was very pleasant, but he was the only one. I took my truck in because it was overheating at about 1pm. They did diagnostic tests and said the thermostat needed to be replaced. At this time I had been waiting for about 3 hours and the wait would be 3-4 hours longer. I was tired of waiting and told them I would bring it back tomorrow. They put my truck back together (1 hr later) and then the receptionist decides to tell me my car is unsafe to drive (which he forgot to do earlier). That changed my mind... so I decided to wait! Well then the mechanic got mad because he put the car back together and had to take it back apart again. Then the mechanic walks up to the front of the shop while I'm sitting there and brings the thermostat up to show the receptionist. He stands there making a really jerky face- slams it down on the desk and walks back into the garage. Well then it turns out that they don't think they can finish the car that day anymore so I more
