This is an excellent bank. Not only do they offer free checking, they also offer free checks as well. There is no minimum amount that has to be kept in the account. They also offer the normal banking services such as drive through, telephone banking, interest checking accounts, ATM services and money market accounts. The service has always been good. Their overdraft policy is one of the better ones I have seen. YOu can connect your checking and savings accounts together. If you overdraft on the checking account, they will pull from your savings account. There is a $3 fee for this service which is better than most overdraft fees.
