This is probably one of the best authentic Miami places to eat. Before the Cubans (and subsequent Latinamericans) arrived to Miami, Miami was a very African-American town, and this restaurant showcases the rich, and unfortunately oft-neglected, food contributions of Miami's African American community. One of the best meal deals around. Last time I checked, a full rack of ribs, two large sides, and corn muffins was just $25 dollars. I literally swooned from the flavors, and almost had to brace myself against the wall. Do not miss the sweet potato pie!!
