First off.... Rose is excellent. This was my first experience with the whole waxing. I was so nervous I almost backed out. My experience at Pele Fina was great. We talked like old friends. I am kinda overweight and I felt embarrased by that and Rose made me feel at ease. I will for sure return. Give Pele Fina a try, you will not be let down. more

I read all great rewievs here and decide to try...made my apo by email and Rose called me same day,which was really nice .We couldn't find right time so I said let me resch some things and I'll call you back...and I did few times and they didn't call me back so I thought they are busy I will leave mess tommorow and I left mess with my name ,number and time that is good for me and guess what they didn't called me back. That was 4 days ago and I'm really confused because rewievs are great but in my case this is unprofessional and RUDE! I will spread a word that's for sure!You can treat peole like that! more

This was my first Brazilian wax and Rose was excellent! She did a high quality job while keeping me at ease. I actually had a good time (as much fun as you can have while yanking out hair). She was very professional and the whoe experience was great. Also, I like that she sells jewelry made by local artists in her lobby. Yeah; help out the little man! I have been going to Rose for a little under a year now and she is nothing short of brilliant. She has mastered her trade and has a wealth of knowledge that she is so open about sharing. Any skin-related question she can answer or she'll research it and get back to you. It is this sort of personalized service that is so rare and that puts her head and shoulders above any others! I have asked her about psoriasis for friends and she's helped. I have pampered my mom with her facials that leave you glowing when you leave. And my mom absolutely loved the experience and can't wait to go back! Before she ever touched my skin she examined it and we talked at length about the history of my skin and the products I've used, when do I get flare ups, etc. Rose explained every detail and answered every question. I was apprehensive about letting go of my salycilic and glycolic-based products that controlled my acne, but left my skin looking worn out. The 302 products were in the same price range and required a less intensive regimen, but I wasn't completely sold. I opted to try it figuring I could always go back to my old regimen if this didn't work out. Now after all these months, I can literally just put on some lip gloss on and walk out the door without makeup. No acne and the old scars are wearing out well! My sister has the same acne issues and is already looking forward to getting on a 302 regimen to calm her skin. Then there are the waxes that are just meticulous. :) Anyone who is lucky enough to be Rose's client is fortunate! Pros: the service!! Cons: None more

In a few short words, Rose's skin care treatments provide real, visible results after just a few treatments. (She provides authentic before & after polaroid pictures for proof) Now, I can honestly say I'm a skin care junkie. So it started like this. Last year I was on Pele Fina's skin care waiting list for 2 months before I got to see Rose. For a long minute, I was under the impression that my name was lost in the trenches. Finally, I received a call from Rose and all went up hill from there. Her studio is eclectic and ethnic with a modern twist. The receptionist desk is made of material from a local Habitat for Humanity Store. I thought that was very cool! Her place is so relaxing, just thinking about it makes me want to go back as I type! She is very articulate, precise and beauty industry savvy. She was able to answer all of my questions without fumbling through books, or pretending like she had all the answers. (like some other estheticians in Modesto who are nice to you because they want to sell you tons products). Rose never once pressured me into buying anything from her shelf. She simply said in kind words, "This is what I can do for you, this is what i will use, follow my instructions and you'll get satisfying results." Curious as to which service I love the most? Try her 302 LED photo facial. It's a great start for women who need a jump start to really good looking skin. Each time I get this facial (once per month...shhh....I also alternate with another one of her services called 302 Ultrasound) I feel and look 10 years younger. Ok maybe not 10 years but definitely 5-7 years younger. (So my husband says!) Ask to see her collection of before and after pictures, you might come across my mug shots! Hi everyone. Being that I'm a regular bikini wax service consumer, I wanted to go outside my usual box and try out Rose's bikini wax services. I'm sure my regular esthetician began to wonder if I left her without a courtesy notice. (Shh!) I recently stopped by and received The Full Monte Brazilian Bikini Wax service. "WOW!" The service was fast, precise, and gentle. She's very funny,friendly and doesn't make you feel like your a wierdo because you want to get your your Brazilian Bikini! Her place is very ecclectic, yet she provides a relaxing atmosphere. I love the red walls! Overall, her service is excellent, the price is unbeatable! ($65 Flat Rate: previously, i was paying $90 @- - - - - - -). her place feels like a hidden bungalow that's your little secret. For the record, I validate all of the bikini waxing reviews accurate. Pele Fina is hands down first class all the way. i made a surprize appointment for my girlfriend to get the brazilian wax she has always asked about. She was so nervious and shakey but i keep telling her that this place has great reviews. Anyway we went into a very elegant private room with rose. 35 minutes tops the front middle and back where done.(VERY NICE WORK I MIGHT ADD) She was so happy with the results and cant wait for the hair to grow back so she can get it done again haha. husbands or boyfriends beware Rose is very good looking try not to gaze while with your wifes. PS when rose finishes she closes the door behind her(THEY HAVE LOCKS), so that you can clean up hmmmmhmmm.....Awesome Place I cant wait either. Thanks Rose & Daniel more

I came to Pele Fina for my first Brazilian wax, and I loved it. Rose was my esthetician, and did an amazing job. I have no complaints about the service. The building is very relaxing and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. There is nowhere else in Modesto that I know of that has all the amazing services that Pele Fina offers. After reading many reviews about many spas I decided to go to Pele Fina because of it's great reviews.....at first I thought this is too good to be true, I can't believe there isn't one bad review on here.....so I went to check it out for myself and it is really a FABULOUS place for facials and Rose is truley FABULOUS. I've never had a facial in which I felt so comfortable. Rose is amazing, she is so knowledgable and explains thing very well. She is so nice and caring and I can't emphasize enough how comfortable she makes everyone feel. I will definitely continue to go and I highly recommend it. I just completed a series of acne treatments with Rose and I'm 100% satisfied with the results! I've been to a few other med spas in Modesto and their solution was Acutance. If Acutance was the solution to my acne, I could have gotten a subscription from my family doctor. She is very knowledgeable. In fact, her knowledge got me in the door and the results kept me coming back. I never realized that my eating habits played a big role with my "Come & Go" Acne. Although it did take a series of facial treatments, the results were well worth the wait! I felt like I was in great, caring hands. It's a small spa but very relaxing and welcoming. I recently moved from San Francisco to Modesto. Yes!, I love epicuren skin care products, so I was having a difficult time searching for an esthetician that gave really good epicuren facials in Modesto. After searching for 2 months and spending about $300 on facials at 3 different spas, I found the perfect place with great service! This place reminds me of a small boutique in San Francisco. I love it! The staff is very welcoming, the place feels warm and inviting. They got this eco thing going on with their furniture. (Very unique). and the epicuren facial, OMG, I use to think the products made the difference in the quality of service but when I got my epicuren facial from Rose, I was blown away! She has a professional touch, and a very relaxing facial massage. She did a very thorough job of cleansing my face and making sure I got more than my money's worth. I've been to places where the esthetician seems like she's in another world during the facial. (That's so annoying) Being that I've lived in San Francisco, I'd pay $125 for her facial. Instead, it's $95 for a full 75 minutes of bliss. Quick tip, ask your esthetician questions about what the epicuren facial includes before booking an appointment. I got a my first ever LED Facial performed by Rose herself and I was a bit surprised by the intimate care & comfort she provided. The experience was very relaxing and informative. She made me feel so comfortable about my skin issues. I've been around day spas in Modesto, and by far, she has a unique touch! Most people that have given me facials are concerned with the clock and sometimes I feel that they're just going through the motions + they always try to add on services in the treatment room for extra money . I think that's tacky. Rose really was concerned about helping me with my skin. She took a before and after polaroid photo and I actually saw a difference after my first session! I am now seeing Rose for a series of LED facials. I feel like I'm definitely getting my money's worth. Got wrinkles? Go to Pele Fina and ask for Rose. I absolutly love this place!! Rose & Daniel are awesome!! I went in a few months ago to get my FIRST ever Brazillian wax and Rose made me feel soooooooo comfortable!! I thought it would be awkward and I went in there thinking it would be a horrible experience but it wasn't!! She's soo nice and VERY personable! Daniel also is VERY helpful with everything! I've had cellulite problems since my first child was born and I have tried every cellulite cream and weight loss program out there. (Including L.A. weight loss) Nobody had answers to my cellulite problem. A friend of mine gets her facials done at Pele Fina and she mentioned to me of their new cellulite program. It's called NIST. I've never heard of it. They said to me that it is the new thing in California and nobody else offers it in town so I decided to give it a try. The specialist uses Ultrasound & a suctioning machine. The procedure is painless and they got rid of my cellulite on the back of my thighs, hips, butt, and front thighs as well. He even gave me a firm butt and tightened my hips! I've gained my confidence back because of him and my husband seems to be very pleased with the results. They are very professional and informative. In fact, you might view my before & after pictures on their web site soon! The procedure is a bit lengthy (90-120min) and I recommend 12 sessions (it's totally worth it!). Since I was one of his models, I got a really good Deal! $125 per session. I get the treatment done every 5 weeks for maintenance and I eat much healthier then I ever have before! Don't waste your money on false clams! Highly recommended over any gym membership, personal trainer or anyone that claims they can help you with body wraps and creams only. I've been driving by this place for years! I finally decided to drop in and request service information. Customer service was excellent. They actually have a male receptionist. (New to me) A few weeks later I decided to, once again, to upgrade my waxing services from a bikini waxing service to a Brazilian waxing service. Her name is Rose, she is awesome at Brazilians! I've gotten Brazilians before and she has her technique mastered. She made me feel totally comfortable and was meticulous about waxing each and every hair. She even did my Gluts?! Appointment time lasted about 35 minutes or so. Service price ($65) is well worth it! Ahh yes, they also have 10% off for first time customers. Thanks Rose! I have traveled quite a bit, mainly in Europe. I will admit, I am a spa junkie! I drove by and this place seemed inviting, the name got me in the door. I was fortunate enough to get in with Rose for a facial and it was definately one of the best facials I have ever experienced. She has an excellent touch.
