MAKE THESE GUYS GO OUT OF BUSINESS! 9/27/2011

This place will rip you off like meat deli ticket.. They dont give you anywhere NEAR the price you ask for, nevermind what its worth... The staff are rude and disrespectful to you and your items. The old guy working there doesnt know anything about anything.. I brought a film camera in and it worked great and he started pushing buttons and toying with it like it was a toy, then hes like ""it doesnt even work..."" and this is how stupid he was.... i told him there was no film in it.. and he was like ""oh well i wouldnt take it anyways"".... He didnt even know that the reason it didnt work is because there was no film in it hahaha dumbass! DONT GO HERE! Help me make these rip offs go out of business! more

Do Not Sell Your Item Here. Shop Around!! 3/10/2011

I went to The Pawn Broker on West Boylston St to sell some items, because they advertise on TV so much, that I figured it was worth trying them out. My wife and I had an accident with our house, and had to come up with $4,000 in a short period of time. It was then that we decided to sell and pawn some of our items. I had some new and in the box drills that would cost about $300, but they offered me $25. I took their deal, because I didn?t know any better. My wife got up a pile of old gold jewelry that she wanted to sell. And then she decided to pawn her engagement ring. The ring is appraised for $10,000. I brought the jewelry in, and explained to him that we had an accident, and he asked how much we needed. I said ""even though I know we aren?t going to get it, we need to come up with $4,000"". He snickered, and looked up over his glasses at me and said ""Well you came to the wrong place"". He takes a long look at the ring with his jewelers loop, and then took it out back into another room where he started talking to someone else. After about 5 minutes of very quiet whispering, he comes back to the counter and says ""I can lend you $200"". My jaw dropped. I couldn?t believe it. I knew that I wouldn?t get much, but $200 was just plain insulting. I took the ring back, and told him thank you, but no thank you, and walked out. I was so disappointed, and thought that this was probably the norm at all pawn shops. I figured that there was no way that pawning our things was going to work out. I figured I would take a ride out of the city and go to a place in one of the smaller towns. I did a search and decided upon a pawn shop in Hudson. I walked in, and showed the guy there my ring. After a few questions, he told me that he could offer me $1000 loan, to which i immediately took. I have since brought many items there, and always go a good deal. The main point to my story is, shop around. You don?t have to sell them your item if you are not comfortable with the price. Chances are there is probably someone else out there that will give you money closer to what you think the value is. I will never bring anything to ?The Pawn Broker"". more

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF 12/17/2010

WARNING!!!!! They do not take Audio equipment because ""there is no way to test it"" said by one of the employees at the building in worcester. This company is one of the biggest rip offs in worcester they treat people horribly and there personal items as trash. I understand it is a business but to tell someone there stuff is worthless and rip them off and then turn around and sell the same product at a insane price is purely horrible business ethics. This company has a reputation for doing this to people and i do not recommend going to them. They also have some of the worse customer service in the industry. If you call them asking them if the product you are selling is something they do purchase they yell at you and ask like they are the masters at life and know everything. Well im sorry but if ur job is a Pawn Broker then you might wanna check yourself and notice that all pawnbrokers and uneducated know it alls that think they know all information and everything about all products when really if they were so smart they would have passed school and wouldnt be working at a pawn shop in the first place. ALL I CAN SAY IS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL GIVE YOU A HORRIBLE VALUE ON YOUR PRODUCT AND WILL TRY AND RIP YOU OFF AS MUCH AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN!!! WARNING!!! more
