Erika is sweet but her therapy made my neck much worse than when she started working on it. After the seventh session I was in excruciating pain that I have not experienced before. Her reply to me was that the physical therapy is not for me. I did however go to a different therapist who has helped me with my issue. more

A fall in late October 08 resulted in my broken ankle & a break to my left radial neck (at the elbow). Because of Erika's outstanding care, both as a therapist & teacher (training me to do exercises to strengthen my limbs) both injuries are a thing of the past. I've already recommended her to others, and will continue to do so without hesitation. She's not only wonderful to work with as a therapist, but as a person. She truly cares about her patients, and Patriot Sports Medicine is VERY lucky to have her as an employee. more

Kudos to the moderators for removing MM?s comments from this site. I could not agree more with Roger E in that it was nothing but trash. Quite frankly, I do not believe MM was a former patient. MM?s comments sound like a personal attack from a disgruntled former employee. Not only were MM's comments an attack on Ms. Mesenbourg's character, her comments were a disservice to those who come to a site like this for honest objective opinions. To anyone reading this thread, if you are seeking physical therapy and chose not to seek out Ms. Mesenbourg for your treatment, then you are missing out not only excellent care, but the opportunity to meet a wonderful person. It is a shame that MM would attempt to lead others away from such an opportunity. I am a former patient of Ms. Mesenbourg, who experienced nothing but first class treatment. I also had the opportunity to witness her interactions with other patients, as well as her conduct in the clinic. She is a professional that cares about more

I've had Erika as a physical therapist twice. Once because I had foot/ankle surgery and she was the therapist for the surgeon who did my surgery. The other time, I needed some additional therapy to build up my foot/ankle issues so I looked Erika up to have her for my therapy again.\r Whoever M.M. is sure didn't say anything specific about Erika. M.M. just covered all of today's buzz words of senior citizen, health care ran out, and people of color. All of that doesn't say anything at all about Erika as a therapist. It's just general trash talk to run a person down without having to be specific. \r Erika is a fine therapist, and Patriot is a good, efficient place to go for therapy. If I need to return for therapy for anything else, or still my foot, I'll go to Erika again. more

As the therapist that this person, MM is talking about, I find it necessary to take a few minutes to clear my name after being completely misrepresented. First of all, I am extremely passionate about my profession and take much pride in my work. I would never disrespect a senior citizen or make racial slurs. Not only is it unprofessional, but it is disrespectful. I pride myself in providing quality care, and go above and beyond to ensure that my patients get well and are treated with dignity and respect. I can say with certainty that this patient, MM, did not experience any of the things she reported. Simply, because it never happened. Any patient who has ever been under my care, understands that. It was disappointing to read such remarks, provided by MM. I'm not sure why she would attack my character in such a way. I cannot disagree more with M.M. I had the most wonderful service from Erika and found her to be a consummate professional. Erika treated my back for three months after I had two back surgeries, and she basically gave me my life back. In all of that time, I never heard her make any statements that were anything like the quotes provided by MM. She was always available, flexible when I had to change my appt, and went above and beyond to help me. I have since sent several different people to her and they have all been very happy. I'm not sure what happened in MM's case, but that was not my experience in any way shape or form. I cannot recommend Erika enough!! more

From the first day I had nothing, but problems with this location. \r \r Billing was always submitted to insurance incorrectly. Which caused me to endure weekly calls to my insurance company and their billing office to resolve the problem.\r \r Charged full visit for one verified missed appointment, when missed appt fee was waved.\r \r Also on final bill were charges for additional missed appt fees on dates that extended past my last visit and script expiration. Make sure you get something (if they are willing to indicate when you last appoint is/was)\r \r Staff is very nice, but billing from the staff is less then honest. \r \r Don't expect to get a itemized form on each visit for your records, as they will not provide that to you. Thus leaving room for them to make dishonest "errors" like the ones I stated above. \r \r billing issues and poor PT service forced me to seek care elsewhere. more

It appears that the facility no longer has a problem with the receptionist. A new, very courteous and helpful receptionist is now on duty (I think her name is Roz). In any case, they have also had some renovations done, so the office and therapy areas are in much better shape. Regardless of the receptionist, I have always found the physical therapists (Jerry and Wendy are who I have seen) themselves to be very knowledgeable, skillful, experienced, and willing to go the extra mile for me. Most importantly, they gave me plenty of information and tools that ultimately helped me regain more mobility than I thought was possible. more

While I felt the technicians were well educated and knew how to treat muscular and degenerative disease, it was disturbing to see how the office was handled. It appears the receptionist Gabby can 'hire and fire' patients at will. If you have been referred by TRICARE, I would seek another therapy treatment facility. Perhaps the military clients do not offer the pay potential from Uncle Sam that more lucrative insurances might offer. A shame and disgrace. Also, the receptionist is allowed to bring her young children into the office and they can roam into the therapy treatment areas. Very unsettling. more
