Pastry Perfection

I see there is a need for an updated review. I ordered a cake for my daughter and it was not as I ordered. The ladies at the counter didn't care one bit. I haven't ordered since, but recently I stopped in to let my son get a cupcake and to order a king cake only because they are the only ones that have this type of cake. While I was in there they couldn't find someone's order and when they did find it I overheard the customer saying it wasn't as ordered. When we picked up our order a couple days later they couldn't find it (it seems to be a problem that their employees are often to lazy to look for orders) they said sorry no order here. I insisted they look for it and they did find it, but it wasn't as ordered. They said this happens sometimes, take it or leave it. Poor customer service. The cakes are dry and gross the customer service is even more disgusting more

Pastry Perfection is indeed, perfection. It's hands down the best place in Boise to go for baked goods. Their selection is enormous, from the basic cookies, donuts, and brownies to more intricate pastries that are as wonderful to look at as they are to eat. My favorite is the white chocolate raspberry napoleon, a flaky layered pastry that combines two of my favorite things. Their bear claws are also wonderful, and are absolutely stuffed with marzipan and almonds. And the prices are wonderful, too. Most things are $2 or less, so you can get quite a variety for not a lot of money. And if your husband or wife lets you know there's last minute guests coming to dinner, Pastry Perfection is open until 7, so at least you have dessert covered. more

Pastry Perfection really is just that. The prices are well within a comfortable range with most highly delectable patries (cream puffs, neopolitans, etc) falling right at $2 even. They taste scrumptious so while I have never gotten hold of one of their recipes, I'd venture to guess it's chock full of real butter and cream and other things that make the phrase "death by chocolate" all too realistic. The staff is kind and seem to really enjoy what they do (and can you blame them?). I believe they're open till 7 in the evening unlike most bakeries thus making them the perfect place to hit up if you have an early evening sweet tooth. more

Pastry Perfection is an awesome place to get baked goods. The prices are great, but the pastries are even better. They have a huge variety of cakes, donuts, cookies and pastries so you'll certainly find something there to enjoy. Every time I have been in the staff has been friendly and helpful. They are more than willing to answer any questions about a certain item you might have. more
