Parrots Of The World

I have known Mark and have been a patron of Parrots of The World for 30+ years and would not puchase a pet from anyone else. I loved visiting this store with my children when they were young, it is like going to a petting zoo. Mark is honest, kind, fair and truly loves all of the animals in his store...he even has names for them all. I have purchased parrots, an Iguana & ferrets from him for myself and my children, all have been healthy and gave us many years of pleasure. He is a renowned expert in animal care, earning a him spot as a weekly guest speaker on The Martha Stewart show and his own show on cable TV. He also has the most amazing aquatic area of his store with the most amazing water creatures I have ever seen! \r You can call him with concerns anytime, he makes himeself available and approachable. He has always been attentive and even matched me to and hand picked my baby parrot. I have watched him take great care feeding his baby birds himself many times. He is present everyday and is hands on caring for the animals. His animals are well socialized and all of the cages are clean. There is no odor in his store, as I have noticed in so many pet stores I have visited. He has a great staff who are constantly busy making sure the environment is sanitary and the animals stay healthy. I have always been so impressed by how well kept this store is. If you want to have an enjoyable experience seeing exotic creatures and are interested in purchasing a pet, this is the store for you. I promise you will be amazed and awestruck. more

People who love to interact with animals yet are not well educated on animals needs might not have an awareness of the horrible conditions the birds in this store face e. There is a room overpopulated with birds that reaches what should be the capacity. This room is not sanitary and since all the birds are not well watched anyone can go in the room and mistreat the birds . I saw many sick birds in the store . If you buy a dog there there is no background check . The cats don't look too healthy either. The owner doesn't care about the needs of the individual just about his reputation. Most birds stores are not efficient but don't be fooled by marks good reputation. more
