So we found these townhomes by driving by, and they looked wonderful. Called for an appointment to see them and got in the very next day. Processed the application and got approved within 24hours. We even signed the lease early and were given 2 weeks for free. When we looked at the unit, we noticed some problems - it was a bit dirty and the half bathroom floor linoleum was DESTROYED. She said she would get the cleaner in before we moved in and also have the floor replaced. She was very nice about it. When we moved in, it was not fixed and still dirty. When we called her (after signing the lease of course) she said ""Well it's a little too late now, just cover it with carpet and clean it."" Ok. We were promised a second garage door opener and she'd have maintenance come and give it to us. Never happened. When we called she got very snippy and said there's a $50 charge and everyone gets one. Figure out how to manage it. I was shocked a manager of anything would tell a customer to ""figure out how to manage it"" We said forget it. Despite this, everything was fine, met a few neighbors and some nice kids, had no problems with anyone at all. My only real complaint with the place besides the management was parking. My mother is handicapped and would come to visit us and her granddaughter frequently. There was a handicapped parking spot right outside our door with a car that never moved from the time we moved in mid January until mid August. So she would have to park in the fire-lane to come in, as often times she stopped by unannounced, not giving us a chance to move a car from the driveway for her. We would get rude pounds on our door from Bridgett demanding she move her car. While I understand we were in the wrong and even apologized to Bridgett repeatedly, when we brought up the fact there was a handicapped spot right outside our door with a car that didn't run, she scoffed and walked away. So it's no surprise we decided not to renew our lease because of her poor management. We were going to just let it die, move out and move on and the bigger people, so we started looking for a new place to live. We found the perfect place (an entire house in Oak Creek for $101 more a month in rent with a 2 acre lot!!) The future landlord called for a reference. Our lease is up here January 31st, 2011. Today is November 8th, 2010 as I am writing this. She said to him we haven't given proper notice. Proper notice is 60 days. You can do the math. The new landlord tried explaining this to her, but apparently (from what he said) she scoffed and said no, we haven't given proper notice. He asked if we were good tenants. She told him we had multiple problems with multiple neighbors. EXCUSE ME? If we had a problem, wouldn't you have said something to us? We never received anything in writing, phone calls, face-to-face notices, etc that we had an issue. The neighbors we did talk to were always courteous to us and vice-verse. When then neighbor across the driveway moved out, he shook my hand and thanked us for being great neighbors and ""Brewers Fans."" So I'm not sure where she is getting this from. Luckily, our new landlord is a great guy and could tell by her stupidity to understand a ""60 DAY NOTICE"" would be required by 11-30-2010 that she was a bit of a dullard. I would not recommend Parkwood Village to ANYONE until Bridgett is gone!! We will be placing this review every where we can now - google, yahoo, bing, etc. I'm very disappointed our past year here culminated in this ending, and I now wish we would have given our hard earned money to other people. She's an expert at bait and switch. STAY AWAY!!
