Rude Owner/Mgr & False Advertising 7/18/2011

We parked at the location near the Hard Rock Hotel on Michigan ave. When we pulled in, the attendant ushered us to pull all the way ahead so we never saw the sign posted at the front. We asked for the cost and the guy told us it was $14 a day. We then told him we were staying at the Hard Rock next door and would be checking out in four days but we wanted to know if that we would be able to take the car out and park again without being charged and we were told that we could not. We decided to park there b/c $14/day sounded better than the other price we had found for $25/day. \r \r When we came back to get the car four days later, I had to wait in line since there were about 2 - 3 other people ahead of me. I witnessed what appeared to be the owner or manager screaming at his employees, mumbling to himself, and just appearing totally disheveled and uncool. When I finally got to the front total came out to be $163...I asked why the price was so high and he told me that price was $46 for overnight. When I explained that his employee quoted us $14, he started mockingly laughing at me and said that I would never find that rate in downtown Chicago and that the rate is $46. I was informed that $14 is only the day rate and then he pointed to the sign across from the office (which we never got to see b/c we were told to pull ahead of it). In big, bold letters, it said $14 then the rest of the rates were listed in smaller and less noticeable print. On top of being what I think was grossly overcharged, the guy was so rude!!! I put it on my charge card rather than my debit card and disputed the charges with the credit card. It's in the process of being disputed and hopefully I will get a credit soon. \r \r To the Owner(s): If you're going to charge someone more than double the price to keep their cars overnight, then make it clear up front, jerks! I wouldn't have complained as much if it was like $5 - 10 more per night to keep it overnight but a $32 difference between $14 for the ""day"" rate (whatever that means, 'til 5? 'til 6? 'til the garage closes for the night?) and the ""overnight"" rate is a HUGE difference. Customers are going to complain and that's why you have a 1 star rating. Learn to run a business professionally and earn an honest dollar rather than stealing peoples' money and acting like a barbarian!\r \r P.S. Stop posting reviews as a ""User"" and giving yourselves ""5 stars""..that's just more false advertising but it seems that you don't care about that and even if you did, you're probably too dumb to know the difference between ""user"" comments and ""merchant"" comments. more

Posted Signs 2/11/2011

Sorry for the inconvenience, but every ticket has an expiration time and date printed on the top and bottom of the printed receipt. Step-by-step instructions explaining the parking process are clearly visible and posted on every payment machine with additional signs posted throughout the parking facility as to remind the public to pay for their parking and clearly display their ticket. As a business that relies on having a positive image, the last course of action we would ever want to take is to tow a customers car. more

DO NOT USE THESE LOTS!! 9/23/2009

I wouldn't even give this lot one star. I used to use the parking lot on Monroe and Desplaines until just a couple of days ago. I used the automatic pay station and didn't realize until after my debit card was processing that I pressed the wrong option and selected overnight parking which is $20. I usually select the day parking for $14. I brought it to the attention of the attendant on duty and he pretty much told me I was out of luck. Thanks guy! The least you could do is give me a # to call to get a refund. I know its only $6, but when your paying $14 a day it makes a big difference! The guy was so rude and I park there everyday. I'm paying your pay check!! more

Bad Idea 11/23/2008

If you want to have a good time in Chicago don't bother with Park One garages. We had some visitors come stay with us for the night and they paid for parking at a Park One garage. When they went to leave the next morning the car was GONE. It was towed because the ticket was a few hours expired. There was no standard rate and the sign was misleading (it did not say that the ticket expired at midnight no matter what time the itwas purchased at) It was a $30 cab ride to the south side of the city to the place where the car was towed and then another $175 to get the car out. Most people just get a ticket on the window for an expired parking pass but apparently they like to hassle out-of-towners. Don't park here. They are shady about pricing and insanely rude! more
