would NOT recommend! 3/12/2012

I actually wish I could give less than one star! We had ceramic tile installed in our kitchen a year ago. we were remodeling so our kitchen was empty. The installer only worked half days and didn't start right away on the first day which resulted in the need for an extra day to complete the job. that pushed back our cabinet and appliance install for the weekend. Within 2 months, we noticed that the grout seemed to be washing away, was dusty and soft enough to scratch out with a fingernail. We called the company which took weeks to get back to us. by the time we finally talked with the appropriate person there were holes in the grout the size of a pea or larger. An installer came a month and a half after our original call and filled in low areas with grout and brushed on something that was supposed to harden the grout. It didn't work. we had the grout removed and completely redone about a month later (5 months after the original install). that grout also failed this time within about 4 months. The installer removed the grout for the second time and regrouted. It failed in less than a week. the third time we had our grout removed and replaced with an epoxy which was just about 3 weeks ago. Each time the grout was removed the saw nicked the tiles so my floor now looks like it was ripped out of an old kitchen and reused in mine. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone! I paid for a product that looks like crap and was told, by the owner, that there would be no refunds for the less than acceptable apperance of my floor that I now am stuck with. more

Unprofessional Install!!! 2/2/2012

***UPDATE to previous post*** Based on my previous post and an email that I sent to Paracca, I was contacted by Pete Paracca. Pete seems like a really good guy and obviously takes pride in his work and his company. He offered to pay to replace the missing tools. Pete informed me that he has spoken with his entire crew and is confident that incidents like this will not happen again. While the install did not meet my expectations (I am not sure if they were just having a bad day or not), the willingness of Pete and his Paracca crew to try to make things right says a lot about the type of company Paracca is. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I do not normally write reviews, but I was so disappointed with a recent carpet and tile install that I felt I had let people know about my experience. I will start by saying I am completely satisfied with the quality of the carpet and tile that was installed. After much shopping around, I found that I could have gotten the same (or very similar) products from a number of suppliers. The main reason I chose to pay a little more with Paracca was because I expected to have experts installing my flooring properly. Overall, I am VERY DISSAPPOINTED with the installation. On the surface, both the carpet and tile look good, but after closer examination, I found several things that make me question the qualification of your installers. The first thing I noticed was several divots (voids) in the grout lines. Then I noticed grout all over the walls surrounding the tile install. Not just areas that would have been covered up by trim, but significant splattering a foot up the wall. I understand that grout can get messy (not this messy), but I would expect a true professional to take enough pride in their work to clean up after themselves. It would have been a simple wipe down of the walls while the grout was wet. I also noticed marks on the recently painted trim all the way around the carpeted area and a few spots where the trim was cracked from the abuse. I could probably live with that because most of the marks are more or less hidden by the carpet, but the guys also left marks higher up on the wall. In two locations it looks like they rested a tool (or something) against the wall and the tool must have fallen over because it left two large arcs in the paint where I am guessing the tool fell. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me is that since the guys left, I have been unable to find several of my tools. These tools were stored in an area the crew used for access to the work site. I am the last guy that would ever accuse someone of stealing, but I take very good care of my tools and the only people that had access to that area was the install crew. I did send a couple of emails to the sales representative asking if the tools were picked up by accident, but never heard back. I chose Paracca because I thought they were a step above the “big box stores” and would provide a better overall experience. Clearly this is not the case!!! more

Paracca - Route 8 (not to be confused with the other Paracca's around the Pittsburgh Area) 1/26/2009

Pete Paracca has done a fantastic job of creating a winning team! His staff is knowledgable and friendly. Everyone from his sales group, schedulers and installers are there to do one thing ? make your flooring experience first rate. We have been customers of Pete?s for nearly 7 years and have repeated our business with him as we continue to add on to our home. \r \r Without going into the gory details, we actually went to another flooring company in Cranberry first. We did not initially explain the breadth of our project to the staff (nearly 5K square feet in a custom log home) so the reception was cold and distant. The sales people all seemed more interested in getting on to the bigger / better customer.\r \r Fortunately, we moved on also and found Paracca Interiors (again, located on Route 8) and will continue to go to them and recommend others do the same.\r Pros: People skills, craftmanship of installation, quality of materials and overall attention to details more

Great experience, def. recommend and will return... 2/20/2007

I visited other area flooring companies and found Paracca Interior's to be the best overall. There were pros and cons to each place to be honest, but my builder rec. them to me and several of my friends had a positive experience with Paracca's. I did shop around and did my homework despite the advice of my friends and found other area businesses to be very pushy and they tried to upsell me sev. times during my visit. Even though I don't think Paracca had the flashiest deals or glitz in the showroom, they did a great job with my whole house and I couldn't be happier. Even the smallest problem that I had was treated with care and I really felt comfortable with the whole experience from their showroom to the install. Pete (owner) had his hand in my tile-work personally. (unlike other stores I checked into, Paracca didn't subcontract tile installs and my entire tile install was flawless and is now the piece de resistance of my home!) I'll def. be back again! Pros: Relaxed staff, great installation, personal service. Cons: None. more
