I've never had trouble with their billing department. In fact, Dr. Salkola and the billing staff have been more than accommodating in helping me choose budget-saving options for my care, and for letting me pay over time - as a senior, my budget is limited, and this has been extremely helpful.\r more

I've been a patient of this office for over 3 years. I've had a root canal, wisdom teeth extracted, fillings, crowns and I get my teeth cleanings on a regular basis I'm also in the works of getting braces. I think the quality of work they produce and reasonable prices makes me not dred going to the dentist\r more

Dr. Salkola and her assistants are all fantastic! Fun, gentle, sensitive to my needs when I'm in that chair with open mouth. Dr. Salkola did great work on a whole array of issues in my mouth, including a deep back filling and crown.\r more

Because of my work, I tend to move often, which gives me a great perspective to dentists and dentistry in general. Dr. Sakola is by far the best dentist I have had. She is very careful, gentle, and conscientious. Her work is organized and well thought-out. I feel that I get first rate dental care with good price. And I know because of my experiences with many dental offices. I cannot be happier.\r more

The dental assistants/hygienists I've come across at Gentle Dental have all been great, and Mimee (who is in fact a separate entity from the aforementioned dentist Mimi) is always a pleasure to talk to. Additionally, the front office has been nothing but helpful and polite, even going so far as to come up with a special payment option that would reduce the burden on me, since they know I'm currently working my way through grad school. I highly recommend Gentle Dental, and especially Dr. Salkola\r more

I don't particularly enjoy sitting in a chair and having my teeth poked at by pointy metal instruments, but since it has to be done, I'm glad that Dr. Mimi Salkola is my dentist. She is one of the friendliest people I know, and I can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients. I had a couple of deep cleanings done a few weeks back, and on both occasions Dr. Salkola called me from her home the following evening to ask how I was doing. She is very good at what she does, and the procedures she's done for me (including a recent crown) have all been relatively painless.\r more

I've been with Gentle Dental for about five years. I have an extended circle of friends in the Peninsula and South Bay. I've sent dozens of them to Dr. Mimi Salkola and Gentle Dental, and every single one has given me a glowing report of their experience. Dr. Salkola is exceptional - she is highly competent, caring, and personal. She offers options and is sensitive to all issues including finances and patient comfort. In my 70 years I have not had a better dentist - not one comes close.\r more

As a member of a renunciate order, my finances are limited. I learned about Gentle Dental and Dr. Mimi Salkola after some very discouraging experiences with highly efficient computerized dental practices (money mills). What a find - Dr. Salkola was very willing to adjust my treatment schedule so that I could spread out the care and payments over time. Her work is excellent, her attitude is caring, and she has a fine sense of humor. I have referred her to my friends, and they all without exception have given her positive feedback. I wish I had discovered her sooner.\r more

I have had nothing but good experiences with Gentle Dental over the years. I have a sensitive mouth and the doctor has been very caring in making sure I don't suffer even during major dental ""projects."" She is also impeccable and very precise - she does outstanding work. A recent crown replacement looks wonderful and is very comfortable for eating. I have many friends who are patients, and all of them rave about her. more

The front staff was very friendly and helpful answered all my questions that I had and wait time was not too long. The Dr I saw was very good at explaining treatment to me that was needed and why it was important and was able to start treatment on the same day, had no discomfort after treatment was done. Over all I had a great experience would definitely recommend this office if you are looking for a gentle dentist.\r more
