The Best Ice Cream In Pittsburgh!! 12/20/2011

First of all, Chuck Page and his family treat customers like friends and family and their ice cream is great with so many items to choose from you almost never know what to buy. As a result, you go as often as you can during the eight months that Pages Dairy is open. I enjoy many of the items including the Hawaiian Ice which has at least 16 flavors. I enjoy plain vanilla ice cream with peanuts and caramel syrup.\r \r Now, how many of you out there have dogs in your family? If you like your dogs to enjoy riding with you bring them to Pages for some special treats. Pages even gives a small doggie bone for your wonderful dog.\r I know people reading this may think it's just soft ice cream like I can get most anywhere else and you would be correct when you say you can get soft Ice cream anywhere, but what makes Pages so great is \r \r Mr. Chuck Page and his family as well as the social aspect and the feeling of a special time with family and friends. I give you one piece of advice though with all of the choices both cold and hot you may want to consider going back many times and you may even want to arrive with an empty stomach as they also sell hamburgers, hot dogs, steak hoagies, nachos and even more!\r You, your family, your dog (s) are going to have a great time and you'll be wishing for spring even if you love winter and winter activities.\r Note: I host a public access talk show and was able to interview Mr. Page twice in one year. It was fun and an honor. \r You can see the clips of the episode by visiting me on You Tube if you wish.\r Pages scores a 100 out of a 100. It's Fantastic!\r Albert Torcaso more

Fantastic! 6/12/2009

A Southside Shake (as I order it, a thick chocolate shake topped with a peanut butter sundae) is on my short list of the finest things in the world. But everything at Page's is amazingly good. Page's looks just as it did in the 1950s and 1960s. There are more choices now, but it's still the best ice cream I've ever had. I used to live nearby; now, I have to come from Texas. It's an essential stop whenever I'm in Pittsburgh. more

Great ice cream,freindly service. 8/10/2006

They've been great since I was little(a very long time ago). They used to give out free ice cream to the little league teams after the games. Mr. Page was/ is ? a outstanding man, any interaction with him from the time I was small to a teenager, to bringing my son there as a adult. Great family business. more

Absolutely the Best 7/9/2006

Classic. This place has been around for over fifty years and it's a staple in the Pittsburgh area. I'm usually not too crazy about icecream but when I'm in Pittsburgh during the summer I visit every chance I get. Ignore any bad reviews you see, the people who leave them don't know good icecream when they taste it. \r \r The line can stretch all the way to the curb during their busiest times. It's worth the wait. Don't be discouraged by a long line. Service is provided through drive-through style windows. There are two choices once you're served: stand around the building or sit in your vehicle and eat. They have no seats but that ties into the entire experience.\r \r This is a family business and it's been that way since 1951. They know how to make an icecream just about any way you like. Probably the only icecream shop that offers a three different dip flavors.\r \r If you visit the Steel City, stop by the Steel City's favorite icecream shop. Enough said. more

Best Ice Cream In Pittsburgh 7/13/2005

What can you say about the variety, quality of ingredients and taste you get at Page Dairy Mart. Page's is THE BEST ice cream you can get, PERIOD. I have tried many great ice creams, but this is, by far, the pinnacle of all ice cream. My favorite, the Monogahala Mudslide is to die for. With a wide selection to choose from, there is something to suit everyone's taste. Including the Hot Apple Dumpling Sundae and the traditional Banana Split. Page Dairy Mart also makes ice cream cakes for all occasions. Vanilla and Chocolate soft serve with a layer of fudge and cookie crumbs makes a cake to devour. When you try Page's you'll be giving up DQ and all the other air filled pretenders. So stop by today and try the best ice cream in Pittsburgh. Tell them the Cake Diva sent ya. Pros: nice atmosphere, wide variety, friendly service more

awsome icecream 10/14/2002

This really is the best old style pittsburgh icecream place I've been to. It puts dairy cream to shame. Imagine being transported back to the 80s to imagine what this place and its icecream is like. It's like the icecream shop lost in time Pros: fast service, real affordable, tastes great Cons: location, no inside area more
