Reader note re: the ""review"" posted below by Jason M.\r \r Jason came to our office in September on a Groupon deal. After receiving all of his services on that coupon, he asked for a diagnostic workup to determine cosmetic treatment. He was presented with a fee and signed an agreement for the diagnostics, which he was given.\r \r No complaint about any of his services was voiced.\r \r Upon receiving his bill last week, he offered a bargain in exchange for payment:\r \r Waive the bill or I will post bad reviews ""all over the internet.""\r \r Jason has been given nearly $1000 in services and has paid less than $200.\r \r Cyberextortion is the legal term for this.\r \r more

I feel that I was deceived by Dr. Pagano’s practice, Artistic Dentistry. This came as an unpleasant shock to me because Dr. P and his staff seem to be honest and likeable people. \r \r 1. I agreed to pay for extra diagnostics to provide a service which was not delivered as promised. Dr. P’s office says I was billed for the diagnostics, not the service itself, so I shouldn’t be upset. They also maintain that the service was provided, but it was not at all what the office nor Dr. Pagano himself said they would do. \r 2. I had no pain prior to having a filling redone by Dr. P, now I have pain when I eat or drink anything cold.\r 3. I received bills for what they told me would be covered by my insurance. I am paying eighty dollars more out of pocket than what they said. more

Dr. Pagano noticed marks on my cheeks indicating ""cheek biting."" He made slight adjustments to several teeth which resolved the problem. No other dentist had ever noticed the problem or suggested a solution. It took several weeks before I realized I was no longer having sore cheeks! more

Business Manager response to comment by Jon S.\r \r Jon, our Patient Coordinator remembers well your call to schedule your cleaning. You asked about air abrasion and she informed you that we use Ultrasound technology in our cleanings. Air abrasion can also be used in treating cavities, and since your comment refers to “drills and shots” it’s not clear whether you were asking about cleanings or cavity treatment. You told her you had already purchased the Groupon and so made your appointment in the same call.\r \r Your visit indicated a problem area around the crown that you mention was broken. This required an additional $40 x-ray which you consented to. Patient consent before treatment is an ironclad policy in our office. It’s simply not worth $40 or any amount to risk patient upset. \r \r When it came time to pay, you did not communicate any disagreement or unawareness of the fee. You and she discussed having your x-ray sent to our in-house endodontist for diagnosis-- at no additional charge.\r \r You mention being scheduled on a day when “most major issues couldn’t be addressed” and “milking” you for appointments. It's not clear what issue was not addressed: You were offered same day treatment on the cavity and as for the root canal, we submitted your x-ray to our in-house specialist for diagnosis, actually saving you an extra appointment with a specialist. You were called with the diagnosis, but have not returned the call.\r \r As was offered to you the day you were in, you may schedule your cavity treatment and get your bleaching trays. more

I saw them on Groupon, called to check their dental tech, was told they had something similar to air abrasion so I buy the coupon. I get there and they have no such tech - they still use the old school shots and drill. When I made my appt I told them I had a crown that was half gone but when I get there the ""crown"" guy isn't in so I have to make another appointment $$$ to see him AND one of the xrays they took cost me extra - no warning on that one until it's already done. So my $57 appt turned into $97 without forewarning, they don't have the tech they claimed over the phone, and they want to milk me for appointments. I also couldn't get the whitening kit since I had a cavity and the crown issue, which I understand but I didn't get what I paid for, then paid more than I should have, and don't feel like they were up front and honest by scheduling me on a day my most major issue couldn't be addressed and telling me they have technology which they do not. more

From the first phone call thru to the dental treatment, this practice is just what I wanted. I just got a crown after having a root canal and the experience was painless! Plus, the cleaning from Delilah was very thorough ... my teeth never felt so clean! more

Me and my family are long time satisfied patients of this practice. I've always found Dr Pete's business practices to be old school in that he's not quick to recommend an expensive treatment program if he thinks something can be fixed more economically. We've been going to him for so long that he's become a friend. He's pulled my daughter's wisdom teeth, straightened my teeth, given me crowns and done fillings for the family. I've met patients of Dr. Pete who have been coming to him for over 30 years and whose grandkids are now patients. That's the quality of his care and business practices. more

I had the same experience. Got call from them . They told me i missed my appointment at 11 am. for my routine cleaning and it is gonna be $35 fine for ' no show up ' .\r I told her ,i was out of town,i did not get any phone calls before . \r receptionist told me ,if i will schedule new appointment , then -'no fine'. \r I told her ,i do not remember to schedule appointment 6 month ago, especially ,if you not sure about insurance availability .\r From my experience before ,receptionist usually reminds you on the phone about 'cleaning' every 6 month and ask you on the phone:\r WOULD YOU LIKE TO SCHEDULE APPOITMENT FOR YOUR ROUTINE CLEANING?\r \r I told receptionist ,they probably APPOITMENT appointment automatically , six month in advance .\r I picked up the phone and find out , i missed my appointment, which was schedule 6 month ago.\r I told receptionist ,you can not charge fine for appointment ,if the patient did not have a clue about appointment, especially , if it is 6 month waiting period.I will call again to the office ,and will try to talk with Julie. more

I went to Dr Pagano asking consulting for my wisdom tooth extraction. I was referred to a specialist to have my teeth extracted as they were too complicated for Dr Pagano to do himself. After that they gave me a whole load of crap about why I should clean my teeth and gave me a ridiculously high quote for $1200 to clean my teeth. 2 days after the the consultation I got a card with Dr Pagano's face saying how great a customer I was. I have never seen such marketing strategies even from car dealerships!! He's a doctor for crying out loud, not a car saleman!!! Anyways, despite the numerous attempts to coax me into his clinic, I decided not to do this procedure with Dr Pagano. The next thing I hear is that I have to pay $35 as cancellation fee to an apt I never intended to have in the first place. A month later I received a notification that a $1 fee would be added as finance charges to an apt I never went to. Please be warned, this guy is worse than the bankers on Wallstreet!!! He will rip you out of your last penny without any remorse. And he will try to smooth talk you into doing procedures which are absolutely not required!! I will never step foot within 50 yards of his stupid clinic. Unfortunately La Bonne Bouche is right next door to his clinic. more

I love this place and I love the whitening pen! I noticed a difference on the second use. I had tried other products to whiten my teeth but they would become too sensitive so I would discontinue. I haven more

I broke a tooth and it needed immediate attention. Who you gonna call? No question-I phoned Dr. Pete right away and was in the office the next day. As usual Dr. Pete’s skill and professionalism not only solved the immediate problem but more importantly, although the tooth was severely damaged he was able to save the tooth. Once again, in my opinion he’s proven what I’ve always known he’s simply the best. He knows……and he cares. more

My experience was Wonderful ! The front desk Gals were Very Hospitable and Gracious! My Hygienist was knowledgeable and Very Thorough in my cleaning and a Great Personality ! What a Gem ! (My first cleaning since having braces put on- she kept asking if she was being too rough, or if she was hurting me. I said “NO !! This is more relaxing than a massage”) My experience was different from what I expected, From walking in to a very comfortable waiting room- to Loving the “Blasting” tooth cleaning tool (that I have never experienced)- To Dr. Pete, who Surpassed my expectations for a Doc who was “Genuinely” interested in health-versus just “Knowing”. He had a personality on top of that, which is RARE ! I am Thrilled that I found you guys ! Blessings to you all ! My first teeth cleaning I’ve ever had where I didn’t have to “finish the job” at home with my picks/scrapers I have myself. Everything was just Wonderful !! more

I had learned to brace myself every time I went to the dentist. I'd lie in the chair, every muscle in my body tense, including my hands that gripped the chair during every visit. Even if I wasn't hurting, I was full on-alert -- knowning a jolt of pain would surprise me as soon as I let down my guard. Dr. Pete has changed all that. Heck, sometimes I don't even get novacaine shots anymore. But when I do, even they don't hurt. I've had all my silver fillings from the 70s replaced with white filling material. I've had my first root canal (which was nothing --- I'd heard horror stories). I've had clear braces (yes, Dr. Pagano does clear braces and has been doing regular braces for 30 years) and I've had professional whitening. Oh .. I've also had 3 cavities filled. I'm no longer afraid of the dentist. Even the hygienist is gentle! more

Once upon a time there was a very sad girl! :( Her two front bottom teeth were about to come loose, the gums were falling down. Thankfully there was a magician in town who promised to fix the problem. Dr. Pagano waved his magic wand and with the help of some very nice, pretty fairies cut and stitched up her gums...all with NO pain or discomfort. In a few weeks time her teeth were saved and her gums were back where they should be. All because of Dr. Pagano and his wonderful fairy helpers. The girl is as happy as can be!! more

When I came in with this pain in my lower tooth, Dr. Pete said ROOT CANAL. I’ve only hear bad stories on root canals! But once again Dr. Pete proved them all wrong. It went like a breeze. Dr. Pagano and his team: I must confess that I was dental phobic. In the past, the fear of making a trip to my dentist’s office was a mental agony and torture for me, and I still have awful memories of painful anesthetic injections that to this day make me feel tense and nervous. This anxiety has been preventing me from seeking dental care for several years. However, the recent visit to your office for my filling has completely changed my outlook, and opened up a whole new dimension and experience for me in terms of visiting a dentist. You and your assistants made an extra effort to make me feel calm and relaxed throughout the procedure. I didn’t feel a single pinch from the needle and I felt comfortable the whole time. Dr. Pagano, you used state-of-the-art technology to remove and replace my old fillings, and I am very satisfied and happy with your work. You were very professional, yet so personable, kind and thoughtful. I really appreciate everyone in the office; you all are so wonderful. Ten days ago Dr. Pete put on a temporary crown which worked perfectly and today the permanent crown was put on in a few minutes, I certainly recommend the way Dr. Pete handled the problem. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more
