I guess my question is why don't the owners care? Everything will come back to you in some form. Why not take care of those that want to come in and support your business. If you don't good food or not eventually people are going to find somewhere else to go out of frustration. Perhaps they are in the wrong business. Good customer service and people with customer service skills are not easy to find. But they can be rewarding. more

LOVE IT!! 5/18/2012

We drive from Pleasant Hill to Oak Grove JUST to eat here. We love tenderloins and have eaten them all over the country and there isn't a better one anywhere, Onion Rings are Gigantic!! Be sure to take a piece of pie home (you will be too full from the large servings) but you will want to have it later. Delicious more

won't be back 3/26/2012

i live in oak grove and have ate at PT's for years but something has change. Almost everything is fried, the tenderloin and country fried steak have more breading that meat. In fact the one i had this weekend i pulled the breading away and could barely see the meat it was beaten out so thin. The breading had no flavor as well as the mashed potato's. Very bland food. My son has the roast beef sandwich and it was very bland also. I won't be going back. The service is slow and very reluctant to refill your drinks. more

Above Expectations! 5/3/2010

Passing through town on business for a day. Ate here on recommendation from a friend and after reading these reviews. The tenderloin deserves its accolades. Had it with gravy, baked beans and macaroni and cheese for sides. The tenderloin was large, crispy and tasty; and the white gravy just right!. My wife had the meatloaf special, with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy; which was also very good. We split an order of onion rings as an appetizer. Homemade, large and delicious. more

horrible customer service! 10/8/2009

What can I say, no dispute food is good, but if you ask for a to-go cup for your soda they are going to charge you another 2.00. you cant just pay for a cup they charge you full price. I was so irritated and after eating there all these yrs said i wouldnt come back then. Then i was informed by a few of the servers they hear that ALL THE TIME!!!!! the owner doesnt care they replied. WOW! SO MANY YEARS OF EATING THERE AND I OFFER TO PAY FOR THE CUP AND I HEAR THEY DONT CARE! GOOD FOOD OR NOT. I WONT BE BACK AND WILL LET PEOPLE KNOW THE OWNERS DONT CARE! more

Great restaurant 4/14/2006

PT's Family Restaurant is a wonderful place to stop. I know many people who stop in Oak Grove just to have dinner or lunch at this place. They have a very large menu serving mostly homestyle food. They are known for their tenderloins, but that isn't an item I choose. My husband likes them though. I love the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwhich is huge and is more than enough for two meals. They have good fries and onion rings. Their chicken fried steak is very good too. They often run a nightly special which can be a good deal. The staff is always friendly and a lot of them know many of the local people. This place has great pies too. The coconut pie is something not to miss! Enjoy! more

Excellent Home Town Restaurant 8/25/2005

We have eaten at this restaurant since we moved to the Oak Grove area. They have excellent tenderloins, which is their speciality. Of course, I have had many of the items on the menu and never have I been disappointed. The waitress are so friendly and really seem to care about you dining experience. You can dine in, order to carry out, or use the drive through. They hand bread their tenderloins to order. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The tenderloins are huge. The price is very affordable. more
