I am writing this for my friend Earny Huggins, he could not say enough good about this companies service. He would refer any one that needs electronics go to Outrageous Audio. Employees are friendly and experienced, willing to go the extra mile. He said he never felt confused or pressured during the sales or the installation. I just moved to Oregon and have been in A.O. a few times. Was very pleased with them untill the other day. I bought an amp from them and went home happy like every other time I bought something from them. When I got home I opened the amp and it was missing the bass knob, so I went back and asked them about it and they told me it was an option that you could get with it and that it doesnt come with it. So I go back home and look it up online and it is supposed to be included in the package. Good thing the manufacture of the amp was willing to help and they are sending me the bass knob that I have to pay shipping on. I liked this place till this, and I even tried to get them to correct it and they wouldnt. I will never shop there again. Pros: cheap prices Cons: lazy when it comes to helping fix a wrong. more

I have been going there since 1999 and went back today to have a deck installed in my truck. This is the 3rd vehicle they have installed this same deck in for me because they sold me such a good unit I keep taking it from car to car. RANDY is the best! He has set up my wifes Tahoe with a top notch Kenwood system that has been problem free for 2 years now! Randy also sold me the Kenwood they put in car #3 today. I also had them add Bluetooth to it today and the price was fair, service was quick and as always they remembered me when I walked thru the door. Not many places can say that but Randy and most of the crew have been there for years helping me and now my children are taking their cars there. Pros: Price, Service, Honesty Cons: Busy place more

I took my truck in to get a new stereo and speakers. I had been in previously a few months prior; unbelievably the service associate Dan remembered me. I needed something specific and he steered me to the best product. The installation was unbelievably fast...if I had gone to Best Buy for the same thing I would have been there half the day. Dan and the other guys were very friendly and informative, I would have no problem recommending Outrageous Audio to anyone looking for a great deal on car audio. Last night my car was broken into and the stereo thrashed. The robbers tried yanking my system out but was unsuccessful in actually stealing it but they did a number on all the wiring. I was going to attempt to fix it myself but chose to go with a professional so I would not damage the system more. I decided to get an estimate and see if there was anyway someone could hook it back up. \r \r I went to Car Toys to see what could be done... What a mistake!!! They were polite but had NO CLUE what they were doing. The technician took a look at my car for about ten minutes and told me the whole system was fried. He didn't look at any of my amps, subs, etc. Just told me the whole thing was dead and the only thing I could do was rip it all out and start over OR to run a troubleshoot and see if there was any way to repair it. He said the troubleshoot would be at least $100 and even then they weren't sure if it could be fixed. I decide to wait because I thought the price was a little steep just to tell me something was wrong. I already knew that! Also, I thought it was strange that I could hear music from my speakers but had no controls from the unit. This told me that the system was NOT completly ""fried"". I got a second opinion from Outrageous Audio and I am SOOOO happy I did. \r \r At OA Randy hooked me up!!!!! He took five mins to get it hooked back up and in working order. He didn't charge me a cent and all he had to do was plug one cable in. He explained everything he was doing and gave me a free estimate for the rest of the damage that couldn't be fixed. The system wasn't even close to being fried.\r \r I was pretty upset that Car Toys basically took advantage of me so I called to speak with the manager. I was told that he was sorry I misunderstood what they wanted to do to my car and that I didn't know what was beign told to me. To sum it up he was apologizing for me being a woman and not understanding what the salesmen told me because there is no way they would be dishonest. Now I don't want to accuse anyone of trying to get over on me but it is a little fishy OA fixed it for FREE in FIVE mins.\r \r OA's customer service is exceptional. They are honest people with a heart. If you need anything at all they will help you. Randy is the best ever!!! \r \r Car Toys=NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Clean up your act CT and find some morals! Lying to customer and taking advantage of women is no way to run a business!!\r \r OA keep up the good work. It is so funny to me how these people complain, but they never come in and handle the problem. We install systems in 20 to 30 cars a day. If you have a problem with our work...you come talk to any of us. If you don't come back...how can we make it right? We are not perfect, and no store is. We will always guide you to the best of our ability. 23 years of service, and we did not become the #1 store in the Nation (For a Single Store) recognized by Kenwood, Kicker,Sony, etc for treating people wrong. Other than wires their electronics are way over priced and the owner when in shop, is a tobacco chewing dope head opposite of his commercials as a super Friendly ""spunky"" fella that everyone likes. Pros: Reasonable wire sales... Cons: Cr@p service, equipment on most, expensive installs/fees. more

Outrageous Audio is like the K-mart of car stereo equipment. The audiophile's version of Black & Decker, if you will. Pros: Nobody is required to shop here Cons: The guy who owns the place - very creeeepy fellow. more

I went in because my old Alpine had finally kicked it. So I bought something new. I usually get all my stuff and have it installed by Car Toys because I like their work even though they are a little pricey. However, I live pretty close to Outrageous Audio so I went there. I bought a new head unit and the guy quoted me on a price to have it installed. I set up the appointment and came back the next day. Pros: Price on new items were Good Cons: Horrible experience. Lied too. more

So, I called Outrageous Audio on Monday to see if I could get my speakers installed and they told me that they couldn't do it that day, but that they could do it the following day. I asked if I needed to make an appointment, and the dude told me no, and to just come on in any time tomorrow and they could do it. So, I left work two hours early, drove all the way from Tigard to Gresham, which is about a half hour drive, only to get there so that I could be turned away! I told the guy that I had called the previouse day to see if I could get my speakers installed, and they said that they could do it, so I left work two hours early and wasted gas for no reason basically. Thanks Outrageous Audio for wasting my time and money, they will not be getting any future business from me. Pros: They seem friendly... Cons: They lie! more

Hi,\r I purchased over 3000.00 in equipment for my ride.I have over 3000W of power with deep cell battery,cap kit,auto start,2 kicker l7 15"" subs +++\r You may have heard me at a stoplight near you....\r O.A. has great staff,wide selection and installations were pretty quick considering the amount of work involved. In the meantime they had a room and set me up with the new Mission Impossible movie.\r If your a cheapskate looking for a crappy system then go to Walmart.If your looking for some serious tuneage shop here.\r If you want to save money and have the know how, install it yourself.\r Remember though....O.A. guarantees their work.Even 3 years later if I have an issue they always take care of it at NO CHARGE.\r The TV commercial.........Obviously it's getting peoples attention.....ain't that the point! more

I purchased a unit for my boat this past summer and I personally am very happy. I spent less then what I had planned, got more and the stuff that I bought sounds great. They even tossed in the amp wiring kit. I will be back. At 70feet behind my boat I cant hear anything but the tunes!!! Pros: large selection, NOT PUSHY sales people Cons: Dumb A$$ TV ad more

The salesman that helped me was super! He was patient and very helpful. He even told me that a lower priced deck was actually a better deck than a higher priced one I was looking at. He said the lower priced one was even capable of better reception and sound. Boy was he right. He matched me up with the deck, a great amp and I had a custom box installed and door speakers. I am very pleased with the work the installers did too...the SAME day!!!! Pros: Sales people know what they are doing!!!!!! Cons: Can be very busy at times! more

This guy claims to be ""OUTRAGEOUS AUDIO"" well, he is. \r I saw a commercial on TV about their HUGE, CRAZY, END OF SUMMER SALES!""\r Car Dvd players for $140 bucks, bla bla bla. When I got there they steered me away from them saying I wouldn't be happy with them. ""Ok, I figured, maybe they know what they are talking about.\r They talked me into a in dash TID5800 DVD Player priced at ONLY $499.00! \r But they told me they would sell it to me for only $344.00. I thought that was a great!\r Then I found out they charged me $125 to install it. And to make things worse I found the same exact in dash DVD player online for only $285. List is around $280 to $340. Not even close to the $499 they showed it at.\r WHAT KRAP! They made me think I was getting a great deal, but instead sold me a DVD player at Full Retail price, and charged me $125 bucks and a left nut to install it! \r \r AVOID ""OUTRAGEOUS AUDIO"" they are not HONEST like they say they are.
