Worst

The food was ok...paid $10 for a hamburger a little bigger then a McDonalds burger smaller then a whopper. Kids meals were $5 and 5 min after we left my kids all under 8 were hung...

The food was ok...paid $10 for a hamburger a little bigger then a McDonalds burger smaller then a whopper. Kids meals were $5 and 5 min after we left my kids all under 8 were hungery again. It was $40 for 2 adults and 4 little kids to eat burgers and chicken strips. The waitstaff was also rude, they acted like we were bothering them and when i asked how much the tax was to figure out the tip they didnt want to figure it out. We were staying at the lake and thought it would be nice to eat local, and i read a good review....well the review was wrong this time around....(sorry for any spelling errors kids running everywhere) Pros: the food tasted good...not great Cons: serving size, wait staff, price more

Great Family Eating Place!! 4/15/2007

Oskars Cafe is a wonderful place to get some nourishment after a fun day at the lake. It has a wide variety of items on the menu. Whether you want an appetizer, sandwich or a huge seafood platter, they can accomodate your appetite. Their catfish is delicious, but my personal favorite is the BBQ salad. Their sweet tea is the best in town, which is a must in the south on hot summer days!! My kids love the Chocolate Fritter for dessert. It is indescribably good, when I can get a bite!! When you come to Lake Martin, you must try Oskar's. It is one of a kind in service and food. more
