Garbage!!! Once again another mechanic in Orlando that has staged reviews. Any place with a perfect review portfolio watch out for. This place was suppose to replace a part ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/11/2015

You can't ask for a more honest and straight forward auto repair shop. These guys NEVER try to sell extra work or overcharge for services, and they actually have pride in every vehicle that leaves their shop. They are relentless at locating phantom issues in modern cars, with Joe and Dwayne being diagnostic masters. I was sold years ago when final costs came in way under the quoted amount for a factory part I was sure malfunctioned because it was a much simpler fix than we feared -- that's how honest they are. I highly recommend this shop to anyone for anything from simple scheduled maintenance to major repairs. more

When others were quoting me between $1100-$1200 for the water pump on my Scion to be replaced these honest people charged me only $397! They are honest, dependable, professional and fantastic! \r \r They are also super busy because they have a strong reputation, so make sure to make an appointment if you want to use them- which you absolutely should do. \r \r more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/31/2012

Great, reliable work. Dwayne, one of the owners, is straightforward and honest. This is the 3rd time I've brought my car in and the first 2 times, I just needed a couple very minor things adjusted and he didn't even charge me. He even remembered me when I brought my car in the 3rd time for a rattling sound. I thought I had to get my timing belt fixed because of the code that came up on a Diagnositc check at Advanced Auto Parts, but Dwayne told me I simply had to change my oil on time! Whew! more

Great, reliable and professional service...I have referred friends and family to them because I have taken my older high milage Acura there many times and received outstanding service for a reasonable price more

Don't GO HERE AT ALL!! 3/22/2012

Garbage!!! Once again another mechanic in Orlando that has staged reviews. Any place with a perfect review portfolio watch out for. This place was suppose to replace a part on my Ford Explorer, which was most likely the shift solenoid. When diagnosed they finally replaced the computer sensor or so I was told. I ask the guy if the sensor could be just restarted. He stated NO! Now, paying for a brand new sensor of about almost 300 bucks and having it been replaced or so I was told I was on my way. The reason he stated was that the sensor gets ""burned out"" from all the heat in Orlando and it was a common problem here in Orlando. I being the dumb*ss schmuck believed this line. On my way I went. Only a few weeks later, while it was still not shifting right and now since the monitor was not working and reset, there was NO Check Engine light AT ALL now on my vehicle and no automatic shutoff. So, driving along on Colonial, it starts shifting wrong and lazily, then almost clunking, I manage to get it back to my driveway and notice a leak underneath it now. So, that part that was suppose to be replaced NEVER got replaced, and now I have NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT at all on my vehicle, so I have NO WARNING about when something might give out. So, if something goes wrong on my vehicle, since they only reset the whole thing without solving the main problem I can be KILLED without even knowing it. This practice of ONLY resetting the monitor is HIGHLY ILLEGAL and if this is the practice of this place in Orlando, it should not be in business AT ALL!! Another thing he said was: ""Ford Explorers are tricky"", well if they are that tricky then let me take it to a place that knows what they are doing. You should be reported to the BBB to say the least. more

Professional, Reliable, Great Staff and Owners! 8/20/2011

Joe, Dwayne, and the crew are the best. They fixed a fuel pressure issue on my wife's 2005 Mazda MPV that two other mechanics had failed to fix (and those failed attempts were at a great expense to me). When Joe found the real culprit, it was a faulty valve and cost me about $100. They have done extensive work on my 1995 Civic as well...they know Honda and Acura like the back of their hand, and have bent over backwards to help me self repairs when I get in a pinch. In short, their prices are very fair, and their expertise, professionalism, and customer service are top-notch. While in the shop, I've seen them work in plenty of last-minute repairs for customers at the end of the day, just to get people back on the road. I won't be going anywhere else from now on. more

Fair Prices | Good Guys | Goodbye Stealership 8/13/2011

I brought my vehicle in for a timing belt, water pump and front motor mount replacement. Their prices are excellent, they use OEM parts and above all great customer service! They did an excellent job replacing the for mentioned parts, but I had an issue with my air cleaner cover. Joe contacted me immediately regarding the situation. He was cordial, professional and was willing to meet me at the shop during off hours to rectify the issue. I was reimbursed for the price of the air cleaner cover and has made me a very happy customer. Excellent work on a tough job! more

Great Service, Great Guys! 6/18/2011

Hey, I had a problem with my transmission and had my car towed to this shop bc the reviews were so good. I spoke with Joe on many occassions about the car and what was wrong. Joe was very helpful and straight to the point, but he wasn't cold. He understood my finacial situation and did his best to make sure that I was taken care of and that I was getting quality service. He and his staff went above and beyond the requested service and saved me money. I feel good about dealing with this shop and definately will return and have no problems recommending others. Thanks again Joe!! more

Great Service! 2/17/2011

I wanted to find a mechanic shop I could trust with my out of warranty car. Dwayne and company are always right there ready to solve the problem without excessive fees or adding any unneeded work. They give me my car in record breaking time and their work dependable. Their rates are always reasonable and they will use OEM parts when requested. They are great at troubleshooting, too! I highly recommend this repair shop. more

Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism 1/29/2011

My son and I drove his Mazda from Dumfries, Virginia. Before we left we did everything we needed to do with the vehicle: changed oil, replaced tires, checked it out bumper to bumper... Everything went smoothly. We got to Orlando and I noticed a not frequent but a strange noise coming from the engine... I said ""shoot, what can this be?"" A friend of my son said, ""it could be the timing belt"". Once again, ""shoot"". Well, to make a long story short. I was already back in Virginia when my son called me from Orlando. ""Dad the noise became too frequent and louder"". ""Holly shoot""!. I started looking for mechanics reviews in Orlando and had the fortune of finding this guys. Joe & Dwayne treated my son very well. Still we were afraid the problem was serious and we're ready to get hit hard basically because we had no idea what was wrong. My son dropped off the car. Soon after that Joe called to tell him: ""Don't worry about it. It was just a belt that needed some tightening"". My son was relieved and I was even more relieved. So my son told Joe ""I don't have a ride now, so can I go pick it up tomorrow?"" Joe said ""no problem"". The next day my son went to pick the car up. Dwayne handed him the keys. My son asked ""how much do I owe you, guys"", Dwayne responded ""you're good. No problem. Drive safe"". So the guys diagnosed the problem. Fixed it. Kept the car overnight and the charge was? $ Zero!!! Finding honest mechanics in this day and age is as impossibly difficult as finding honest attorneys... Please!!! So if you live or are visiting the Orlando area and experiment a mechanic problem with your vehicle, please DO NOT HESITATE FOR ONE SECOND... Drive safe and take you car immediately to this guys. You won't regret it. This are best professional mechanics in the Orlando Metro Area!!! Nice guys and on top of that honest and kind. more

Top grade, affordable auto service 10/23/2010

I recently damaged my front tire, rim, a knuckle, and axle brace. Several of my friends told me it would cost hundreds in parts alone from my dealer, and labor on top... I'm on a budget, mind you, and I don't exactly keep an extra two grand ""on the side"" for this kind of stuff. So I went online and searched for shops in my area, and thank God I found Orlando Import Auto Specialists! more

Amazing Customer Service 10/23/2010

These guys are the best. After a minor fender bender in a parking garage, I found myself facing a major repair, as a few key components on my axle were beyond salvaging. Since my dealership had charged me through the nose for so many other repairs, I followed a recommendation and took my car to Orlando Auto Imports. I was not disappointed. They went out of their way to give me the most affordable fix possible, without cutting any corners. They even rounded down the final total to an even number, saving me an additional $30 off an already discounted price. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They truly care about their customers, and put out quality work. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in Orlando. more

Best in town 7/8/2010

These guys are awesome. We have an Elantra that had gone to a national chain shop for stalling and electrical. After being hit for a few hundred dollars and a car that still acted up, we found OIAS through online reviews. Turns out, a simple replacement of a battery cable and a reattachment of some clamps (that had been removed and not replaced near the air filter) was all that was needed. Best part, because the problems were so elementary, they only charged for the oil change. Other places may be bigger and have nicer waiting rooms, but I doubt they can FIX your car as quick and affordable as OIAS. Pros: Honest, affordable more

Very trustworthy, professional and satisfying 11/18/2009

Being a female, it is hard trust many auto shops and know that they are not taking advantage of you. I have been to OIAS a couple times now and have never felt better about leaving my car in someone's hands than Dwayne and the crew over there. They were patient with me when describing what was going on, recommended what else needed to be done and told me truthfully if it was that important or not. The prices also seemed very good compared to others. After they told me the estimate, I asked how much extra it would be with labor, but that was already included! I was pleasantly surprised. They are very quick working as well. I just have gotten that feeling both times that I have left there, which I have not really gotten anywhere else, that I felt very satisfied and happy with the care my car received...and I didn't feel like I was being ripped off at all! Oh and I saw that a couple other people commented on this as well -- When they were going over what they did on my car, they mentioned with one thing, ""Oh, don't worry, we didn't charge you for that (I think it was tightening something that was making a noise on my car.)"", when other places would have tried to milk you for every cent they could!! Thank you so much Orlando Import Auto Specialists for the service you do, I definitely will be back again in the future : ) Pros: TRUSTWORTHY,Prices, friendliness, quickness, professionalism Cons: none that I can see more

Incredible service at very reasonable prices 6/2/2009

Actually, they used to be very close to where I live, but I gladly drove to their new location today. I continue to shake my head in disbelief and appreciation when they're done with my car - they will not do any unnecessary work; they will tell you if a concern of yours is not something you need to worry about; if what you need done costs more than you hoped, you can rest assured that you you will get the very best care at the best possible price - you do not need to get a second opinion; the first time I went to them was for a second opinion; now they're the only opinion I need. Pros: An amazing combination of competence and honesty Cons: I haven't found any cons yet more

Amazing Customer Service - Incredibly Helpful 5/27/2009

I've owned a 2005 TL for a little over a year now and would usually always go to the dealer for service. I do the simple things like change my oil, except when it doesn't go as smoothly as planned. I found their shop online thru citysearch and saw several great reviews, so I decided to give them a chance. Pros: Helped replace my oil filter - no charge Cons: None more

Great, Friendly Service! 2/24/2009

Our Toyota Prius developed a clicking sound on the driver's side after we traveled to Orlando from Michigan for vacation. We searched online and found this place with the great reviews and decided it might be worth the drive (22 miles) from where we were. It definitely was! Joe was concerned and knowledgeable and was able to locate our problem in spite of the fact that the car (naturally) stopped making the clicking sound in his presence. Our car had been in an accident and the body shop had left some things out of place or not tightened down. Joe fixed those as he found them, but still kept looking for a more definite cause of the noise. Then he discovered it: the cable to the anti-lock braking system was in such a postition that it was hitting the wheel and wearing away as we drove. Joe re-routed the cable and taped it so it wouldn't wear any more We were on our way in no time, feeling confident that the problem had been fixed. What excellent service! Thanks, Joe! And thank you to the others who posted their reviews so we knew where to take our car. more

delightful (-: 2/20/2009

Joe is polite and an auto magician. He took time to listen to me and diagnosed my car within minutes... and this is after I took my vehicle to the dealer who said they couldn't find anything wrong. Joe & Orlando Honda-Acura Spec. Inc. rocks! more

Where is the 10 star button? These guys are awesome!!! 1/21/2009

We highly recommend Joe & Dwayne, because they are both honest guys!!! What more can you ask for? Before we had our car towed to OIAS, we got an accurate estimate over the phone by describing what was wrong. They called us when they had a look at the car and confirmed what repairs they were going to complete. Joe went out of his way to help us. If you have auto trouble, you'd be hard pressed to find a better team to take care of your car. We will be going here from now on - fair prices for quality work. Excellent!!! Pros: Everything more
