I love this place. Everything is homemade to order. If you looking for taco bell this is not your place. Portions are huge and the price is reasonable. Tons of stuff to choose...

Worst

Not only do they use shredded cheese from Giant, they also follow the recipe on the back of the bag for tacos. Not a hint of cilantro or lime anywhere on premises.

I love this place. Everything is homemade to order. If you looking for taco bell this is not your place. Portions are huge and the price is reasonable. Tons of stuff to choose from on the menu. it's a pleasant change to find real mexican food not cookie cutter fast food! the atmosphere is cozy. I try something new each time and I have yet to get something I didn't like. Seafood enchilada yum! Nachos delicious, steak madrid awesome... I can go on and on. I love this place more

Great Mexican Restaurant 2/20/2006

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Bucks County is hidden away in Hellerstown. The Original Tavern House offers great Mexican food, hot and spicy, and some of the best Margaritas around. The staff is extremely nice, the portions are huge, and the atmosphere is comfortable and never rushed. Our favorite is the huge Nachos Supreme, which can be a whole meal in itself. We always seem to be taking home doggie bags. And the bill is never outrageous. A great place to meet friends, or enjoy a great dinner out. more

Mexican in Hellertown 9/4/2005

As tex-mex is my favorite ethnic cuisine, I was scared to try tex-mex in Hellertown, Pennsylvania. After the 10th person I told that I was moving to Hellertown, recomended this joint, I had to give it a shot. I wasn't disspointed with the food. However, the atmosphere is like walking into a stale beer smelling bar room of any fraternity house in America. I would not dine with my family at this place, it is usually smoky or slow with service. However, I have always been pleased with the quality of the food. My advice. ORDER IT TO GO! more
