Horrendous experience. My daughter, wife and I walked in hoping to have great breakfast. First off, our host didn't walk us to our table. She pointed at the the table and said sit over there in that booth and your server will be with you in a minute. We sat down to find the top edges of our booth extremely dusty with food crumbs. Upon ordering, they asked us what we wanted to drink. My wife ordered a cranberry juice and I an orange juice and right about when I was going to order a milk for my daughter the server walked away before I even said anything. Food, nothing was good. Pancakes had no taste nor my waffles, eggs had a weird funky taste, bacon literally crumbled before I got it to my mouth. The only thing I enjoyed was the sausage and my juice. The only thing my wife enjoyed was her cranberry juice. I'm not one to complain bout my food, but this Omelet House has been the worst breakfast restaurant I ever visited. Russell and Boulder hwy location . Henderson NV. more

Horrible Experience 5/27/2010

A few collegues and I went to the Omelet House for lunch. We decided since their portions are huge to share a salad. Some members of our group had appetizers, soup, and sandwhiches. After I paid the bill one of our group noticed a hair in her salad, the waitress came over and immediately noticed it as well. She kept the change and left our table. Returning to our table was a poorly dressed man with the plate in his hand. He immediately started to accuse the person of eating the salad and then ""found"" the hair. He was very rude in his manner and approach, he identified himself as the owner. She immediately stopped him and informed him that we were not looking for a ""free"" meal in fact we had already paid the bill. We wanted to ensure that all health codes were followed and maybe he should check the kitchen employees for hairnets. He again became loud and abrasive and left our table. The poor waitress was mortified and apologized profusely for her boss. It is unfortunate that he could single handedly ruin our experience. He obviously has no business in the service industry nor does he posess any professional customer service skills. Cons: Rude Owner more

The Best Breakfast , Felt like Home 4/20/2010

My friend and I had just finished a long weekend as Medics for the baker to Vegas Relay, and had heard mention of The Omelet House. What an awesome surprise. Great down home cooking, the hostess made us feel as if we were really special. She has worked there for 17 years! Our food was hot, beautifully cooked, and perfectly seasoned. I would recomend this place to everyone! All personel seemed intent on making sure we were happy AND the other guests chimed in with their favorites and helpful lhints for ordering.. Pros: We were welcomed with open arms and felt right at home. Cons: None, they accomodate your every wish more

LOTS of food! 7/17/2008

My friends and I ate here after I found it on city search, and we loved it. Our one suggestion would be to share a meal!...With the HUGE omelets AND pumpkin bread it was a lot for one person---so maybe order one meal and an extra order of pumpkin bread:) Also, they are very open to you adding or taking things away from one of their pre-made omelets, so that's nice! more

One of the best breakfast places in sin city 5/24/2007

I have been eating at this place for over 10 years and they have NEVER not once let me down my wife and i go in there at least once every 2 weeks, Great omelettes and service and the pumplin bread is the best i have ever had great prices and good service very ""hole in the wall"" type feeling very small and family run the location at Lakemead and Rampart has closed which made me unhappy because that one was very close to my house but we still make the trip down there every couple weeks. I would recommend it to anyone just make sure to be hungry Pros: Great food good portions good prices Cons: service will get a little slow if they are packed more

yummm 2/5/2007

i had a farmer juan omelet! either i was starving or it was just not a big omelet. but it was a great breakfast i ate everything on my plate the home fries were unique. it wasnt as exciting as i pictured it tho. but it was ""good eats"" as alton brown would say ;) Pros: everything was great!! ample parking Cons: service was slow as molasses more

best breakfast in Vegas! 9/8/2006

I have been eating at the omelet house for nearly 20 years and it is still the same exoerience and even same servers! The spuds you get with your breakfast are just delicious and if you like fried zuchinni then you MUST try theirs it is unlike any other you have eaten, get a half order if just 1-2 people but a full order for more then that as you will not want to stop eating them. I like the Green Hornet for my omelet it has fresh avacado, jack cheese and tomato. if your not really that hungry ask for a baby omelet then you wil get one made with 3 eggs instead of the normal 6 it is very filling and affordable! more

Fabulous!! 4/18/2004

Best Breakfast spot!! Great Food for a Great Price. Thats what i'm talking about. Good pumkin bread and delicious potatos that come with the omelet. Very Homey... I loved it! Will return Pros: Great Price, Great Food more

Great 3/21/2004

The coffee was good, the servings generous, the food was great, and the prices really reasonable. If you are not too bothered by the atmosphere, which is a little, how shall we say, unpolished, then it is a great place to eat if you are hungry. more

A little hard to find... 1/4/2004

...but worth the effort. The omelets here are delicious--but I'd recommend the smaller portion as the regular size is made with 6 eggs! Try the pumpkin bread. We picked this restaurant based on the CitySearch review and were not disappointed. There are more locations in the city. Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Quick more

Great Breakfast 5/23/2003

We tried this place last Monday due in part to readership ratings. We were not disappointed as the food was hot, plentiful and reasonably priced. Our waitress was very nice and took great care of us. The omelets were very tasty and packed with fillings. We suggest those that have not tried OH to do so - be ready to eat a large breakfast if you do! Pros: Food Quality, Portion Size, Great Service more

The BEST breakfast in Vegas!!! 11/15/2002

The Omlet House deserves the # 1 top notch best rating on this list! Wonderful food and great service are aplenty here! more

Are you hungry? 11/10/2002

Initially annoyed at the slow service (we had to retrieve our own menu's) but once the waitress took our order and the food arrived, all was forgiven. Maybe they had a meeting, who knows. Small, unobtrusive building with folksy decor. Clever menu with a surprising variety of options and menu items. I had a ""Petunia Pig"" omelet-bacon and cheese, made with what must have been 6 eggs. It was huge. I'm a big eater and couldn't finish it. Apparently many people cannot. Interesting and tasty fries with herbal accents. Acceptable pancakes with light syrup. The jam on the table had real strawberries in it. Pros: food more

Everything Including the ""Kitchen Sink"" 8/22/2002

If you are really hungry, order the ""Kitchen Sink"" Omelet. They say you can't finish it, however weighing in at 250 lbs. it ""Just fills me up right"". The ingrediants that they use are of the best quality, which makes for the best omlete's. the potato's are great, as well are the Biscuits and Gravy. Being from Missouri they were able to ""Show Me"" that they are truley #1 in Breakfasts. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere more

Delicious. 8/17/2002

Doesn't appear like a fancy restaurant. Food quality and taste are superb. more

""Kitchen Sink"" Omelette - Review 7/30/2002

Incredible. We tried this place and based in part on the reviews written here, I decided to take the ""Kitchen Sink Challenge"". The provided omelette was oversized indeed, I could not believe the sheer mass of this dish. Unlike many places that serve ""big"" food, this was made of quality meats, cheeses and vegatables - it did NOT taste like a catch-all for unused ingredients. The service was prompt and thoughtful. The ""regular"" omelette my girlfriend had was also well executed and generous as well. Come back? Anytime, be ready to EAT if you come to this place. Pros: Food Quality, Food Quanity, Service more

Good Eats 7/23/2002

We go to Vegas yearly and I always look for different places to eat and the omelet house was very very good. Not a ritzy place a more back home setting. No slot machines just good home cook meals. The baby size omelet is more than enough unless you have an appitite of a linebacker. The price was kinda steep for breakfast around $20 for 2 so if your looking for cheep eats not here. But the food was of very good quality and quanity. more

one of the best 7/1/2002

Finally found what everyone was raving about. I must say I am impressed I've been to several other top ten's and this and 1 other takes the cake. Their service, and the staff was friendly. The omelets diffinitely live up to there name! The amount of food for the price is outstanding. I got the full size order and had to take a ""peoples bag"" ( the dog don't deserve this) and i'm a big guy. If there is one thing i would change that would be the coffee otherwise it would be a perfect 10. Pros: food, service, atmosphere Cons: coffee more

Great Way To Start 6/24/2002

Well if you are looking for a great place to have a delicious meal for breakfast this is the place. Here you choose a variety of meals for breakfast. I had a ham omelet which must of been 1 of the best one's ever. Also it included the usual like hash browns and a drink. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that agrees that breakfast is the best meal of the day. more
