Historic Landmark 3/7/2006

The Old North Church is located in the heart of Boston's historic North End. It is here that two lanterns were hung in the steeple to signal Paul Revere that the British were coming by sea back in the days of the American Revolution. It is open to the public for free tours and has a nice collection of art and artifacts from Revolutionary times. The church itself still holds mass on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings and has a large following of parishioners. more

Old North Church, Boston 11/16/2005

Right in the heart of downtown Boston, this is the church most famous for the midnight ride of Paul Revere and the lanterns that signaled "one if by land , two if by sea" in it's steeple. It is open for tours of the historic church and they also have scavenger hunts and a show called "Paul Revere tonight" where you can "meet" him and learn more about his life and historic ride. The show runs weekly Summer and Fall.A fun way for children to learn about America's history. http://www.oldnorth.com/prto.htm more
