Old Country Floors

We love wood floors and truly appreciate both the look of a well kept old wood floor, and a well installed quality new wood floor, but we have not always been fortunate enough to buy a home that had either. We found Old Country Floors through a friend and were immeasurably impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail (the house was cleaner when they left than when they started work...), and the overall quality of work they did. So much so, that after they refinished out entire upstairs flooring we had them come back to install a new wood floor where a hideous carpet existed prior.\r This company is top notch!\r more

My floors INTIALLY came out OK- the helper did most of the hard work, sanding and adding the polyurethane. BUT~~~ what the owner didn't tell me was that he was experiencing problems with the urethane. Apparently, weeks later(6), like in my case, it started oozing through the seams. Hello- there are other brands that don't have problems, and had I known he was experiencing difficulties, I would not have had my floors done at that time. Needless to say, I immediately called him. and told him that there was oozing sticky polyurethane coming thru EVERY seam, stuck to my rugs, my pets, my shoes, my furniture...every square inch.--squishing ontop of the newly finsished floors He basically told me to start scraping and for an additional fee he would come back and resand, repoly......Not quite the professional additude I had expected for the hight price he charged. My advice- GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!! Pros: shiny finish Cons: expect your life to be turned upside down, and to pay additonal money to fix his mistakes more
