An oasis in Sudbury... 3/11/2010

I cannot believe I had not been here sooner - kinda tricky to locate and I drive the road everyday. That being said, absolutey fabulous and fresh. Compared to my other sushi ventures, what will bring me back to Oishii is their diverse nigri and sashimi menu. Reasonably priced - and more to choose from. Sea bass, mackarel, white salmon, and it was perfect. I love spending my lunches out sitting at a bar, and the chefs are friendly and attentive. Only thing I wish is that I could watch them as they make it but the way the bar is designed you can only see their faces. If you find yourself tired of the Framingham-Natick route 9 scene - plug this address in your GPS and give it a try. Only about a 15 to 20 min drive from Natick area. Pros: incredibly fresh fabulous fish Cons: small dining area more

Outstanding sushi/sashimi 8/31/2008

Excellent quality and variety. The food is always fresh. Raw scallop is excellent - had that many times and it's always fresh. The lighting is a bit dark. The setting was more ""family"" like before the remodeling a year or two ago..now it looks more like a restaurant in the Boston/Newbury St area. Waiters and waitress are polite. The chefs could use some smile. Pros: EXCELLENT Food Cons: Too dark more

Food and Service Beyond Expectations, but Time Your Visit to Avoid Wait List and Children 6/3/2007

I joined the forum just so I could comment on how fantastic our dining experience was tonight at Oishii Too in Sudbury. I felt I needed to add my views to those left previously, since they didn't reflect the restaurant I remembered dining at last year. My husband, son and I went to celebrate my son's Graduation. I was worried about not getting seating, so we rushed there at 5:30 pm (Sunday), which was wise; by 6 pm there was a waiting line and we were thankfully enjoying our green tea. The service was friendly and prompt. Although they were busy, we never felt rushed. The highlight , however, was the food - which was beyond fantastic. We tried so many different items, and all were better than we've had: sashimi, maki, miso, salads, nagiri, udon, tempura, una ju, specialty ice cream. Without question, the perfect choice for our celebration. Be forewarned, however, families with children outnumbered adult diners (at one point we counted nine children and thirteen adults, with two active toddlers and parents waiting to be seated in the small space), and while, for the most part, children (and babies) were well-behaved (not to mention a muted television screen at two corners of the sushi bar), it created a noisy, active atmosphere. If you want absolutely wonderful food, arrive early and be willing to accept the potential noisy presence of children - but we all agreed the food was well worth the trade-off and we would simply time our next visit a little more carefully (perhaps a week-night instead of Sunday night). I would highly recommend Oishii Too in Sudbuy! Pros: Food, Service Cons: Limited seating, acoustics, lots of children more

Oishi Too Sushi Bar 7/3/2006

My husband & I have tried sushi at several places. We love the sushi at Oishi Too, it is so good, they stay very busy & because of that, they take a little longer. We sometimes wonder how other sushi restaurants stay open, like Yama in Wellesley. It is the worse!!!! more

Not like the original Oiishi in Chestnut Hill 5/5/2005

I've been a huge fan of Oiishi in Chestnut Hill. I've taken many friends there and everyone agrees it's the best Sushi ever. So I was excited when I found out there was an Oiishi II closer. What a dissapointment. The chefs are careless and frankly it's no better than any other sushi place. For the quality, the prices are ridiculous. The restaurant is covered with articles and awards for the restaurant but these are all for the Oiishi in Chestnut Hill. I've gone to Oiishi II several times, thinking I may have just gotten unlucky but the quality is consistently dissapointing. If you really want a great sushi experience, go to Oiishi in Chestnut Hill. Pros: In the burbs, Easy parking more
