Editorial review from Citysearch 9/8/2013

I enjoyed browsing the aisles of OEM in the 20 years I lived in the Springs. I could find anything I needed to repair equipment for my home electronics repair business. I ignored the one loud and obnoxious employee and he didn't intimidate me in the last. The younger guy at the front was clueless sometimes but despite the garage sale disorganization, I found nearly everything I ever hunted for. I once bought a large number of vacuum tubes and nearly every one of them were defective! OEM didn't want to take them back(it was the loud obnoxious guy)but I am about as pushy as he and I exchanged them for other parts I needed while he put the bad tubes back on the shelf! Despite these minor negatives, I highly recommend them for your electronic parts needs. And tell the loud guy to move his car from in front of the store! more

Sounds like someone had a personal problem to air. He's and old-school guy, but I've never known Robert to be other than friendly & helpful. The new location is not as nice as their former, and they can't display as much as then, but still a lot of interesting stuff for the handyman and tinkerer. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/10/2012

Used to go here all the time, most of the people are friendly and helpful. However, I refuse to go there any more because of Robert. By himself, Robert is a room-full of idiots. He is rude, racist, sexist, and theatens to hit people if they don't make him happy. Robert loves to brag to customers with stories of working at Digital and how he designed all of their hard drives. Digital has been gone for a long time, now, Robert - good job! This used to be a great place to go, but it has become too dangerous because of Robert. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE!!! Do not take yourself there unless you are ready to be assaulted. If you do go, keep clear of the gorilla-looking man. more

Best electronics store in Colorado 1/23/2008

My husband sent me over here for a muffin fan, but I ended up buying a modem, power supply and a hard drive as well. Great place. more

Coolest store around 1/22/2008

Electronics, computers, communications, motors and other great surplus buys. Need heavy cable for a wind turbine or just telephone wire ? They have it ! All kinds of connectors, computer cables and much more. A truly fun place to get lost in. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and helpful :-) ................ Pros: They also buy used electronics or give trade credit. Thumbs up. more

The Largest Selection of Used Electronic EveryThing Under the Sun! 1/18/2008

OEM has the Largeset Selection of Used Electronic Parts I Have Ever seen. It is Truely a Technical Engineers Dream. The Staff is Very Knowledgable and Friendly and the Prices are Very Reasonable. I Highly Recommend this Store to Anyone Who Needs any type of Electronic Part, Especially those Hard to Find Vintage parts. more

Best parts store period! 7/14/2007

This place is amazing! It has anything and everything. I needed parts to build a water ionizer, they had them all. I needed parts to build a computer server tower, they had them. Looking for connectors, wire, computer shells, modems, diodes, switches? OEM has it. I can get lost in OEM for hours and go home with all sorts of things 'I need'! The service is friendly, helpful and give great advice. I seriously go to OEM first before Radio Shack or any other parts store. Try OEM first, if they do not have it, you probably did not need it! more

OEM Parts -- You'll love this place! 12/17/2005

My wife and I used to call this the ""Geezer Store"" -- though that might be a little unfair, it seems appropriate for a place where you can buy used vacuum tubes. Mainly only geezers (such as myself) would be interested in such items. But: if you're looking for oddball electronic parts, tools, or just stuff, you can't beat OEM. Also tons of exotic hardware / industrial surplus. Try buying a 20,000 volt silicon diode for an OEM price elsewhere: can't be done!!! Try buying a 10 farad capacitor! See what I mean? Unfortunately, I no longer live in Colorado. But OEM will probably make it necessary for me to travel to the Springs, even if I had no other reasons. The only danger is, they go out of business.
