I went in to have a pair of shoes stitched...one had a small rip in the patent leather. I was having the other one done as a precaution. The shoes are navy blue. First the clerk told me that he could do it, but he only had black thread and it would be sewn on the outside. He looked annoyed when I asked if I could see the thread next to the shoe to determine what it would look like. He allowed me to come back to where the thread was all set up, and sitting right below the machine was a spool of navy thread. When I asked if he could use that he said, ""Oh. I forgot I had that."" The repair would cost $10, and he said he would need the money up front. When I pointed to the sign directly above my head that said ""Orders over $10 require a 50% deposit"", he said ""Oh yeah, I need to take that sign down. It still needs to be paid up front."" It was then that I asked him why he was being so unpleasant....the body language, the tone, the unwillingness to be somewhat accommodating to a paying customer was annoying, though, unfortunately, not surprising. Needless to say, I walked out with my shoes in my bag and will find somewhere else to spend my hard earned money.
