My husband and I have been staying here for about 20 years. We love it! It's built of cinderblock and appears to have been built in the 40s or 50s. Three of the units (of 7) have nice little kitchenettes. \r
It also has about 7 or 8 (guessing) RV spots with full hookups.\r
The folks who run it are really nice and very accomodating.\r
The Ritz it ain't - but it definitely has a certain charm. Sunrise over the desert behind the units is often breathtaking. Occasionally the coyotes sing for you.\r
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is within walking distance and there is a nice trail you can take instead of walking on the road. There are so many amazing places within an easy drive from the motel that I couldn't list them all. Beautiful cactus and Palm trees practically everywhere you look. Also, scattered all around the town are some surprising, large metal sculptures of animals and dinosaurs. Real and imagined. Extremely cool!\r
Actually we hope this review DOESN'T encourage more guests because we like it best in late spring and early fall when it's not busy.\r
Pros: Large pool, large outdoor hot tub, kitchenettes, RV.
Cons: Not the fanciest place.
