....Then send her here. This company only cares about your $. Every 4-5 years the lawsuits pile up, they file bankruptcy, and start the same old shenanigans all over. Just last month a CNA dropped a resident resulting in broken bones. Earlier this year a resident wasn't resusitated, only to discover "oops", we THOUGHT there was a DNR on file.... Your loved one is playing Russian Roulette coming to this place more

If You Must be in a Nursing Home, This Would be the Place to Choose 4/7/2006

Like most people, I hate nursing homes. Both of my grandmothers had to live in nursing homes the last years of their lives. It is my fear that I'll have to live in one, too; however, if I ever do, I would probably choose the Oaks. A young friend of ours recently had to stay at the Oaks for several months after having emergency surgery which nearly killed him. When we went to visit him, there was no nursing home odor permeating the halls and he seemed to be happy with the care he received there. Also, it was voted the Best Nursing Home Assisted Living facility in Highlands County. more
