We used to like this restaurant. Went there a few weeks ago and had the fettucine, horrible. Thought we'd try again tonight for the favorite breakfast for dinner only to be told that they no longer serve breakfast in the afternoons or evenings :( more

Worst place to eat EVER! 8/17/2011

My wife, son and I ordered our food from a NOT so friendly waitress (Amanda) I ordered fish and chips, which was cold and gross, my wife ordered the terriaki steak (well done). She takes forever bringing us our food and brings my wife a prime rib dinner (which is quite a bit more than the terriaki steak) So she takes the prime rib back. We don't see her untill I am completely finshed with my meal and our son is finished with his. To top it off when she finally brings my wife her steak, it's cooked rare, not well done!. At this point we are pissed and just wanna leave. She gives us our bill with the prime rib on it. Are you kidding me? I talked to the manager about our experience, (Amber) she does NOTHING! She argued with us that my wife ordered the prime rib, WHICH SHE DIDN'T! As we were leaving my wife found a dollar on the ground and told our waitress about it but before she could even finish, the waitess (amanda) grabbed it from her hand and shoved it in her pocket and told her she drops money all the time and walks away. How tacky is that? My wife wanted to give it to the young hostess girl who was the only polite one in the place. Bottom line, they need to FIRE the managers and put people in there who know customer service and hire waitresses who know what the hell they are doing. more

food and service are HORRIBLE 4/10/2011

The coupon I had said their reputation was as solid as the oak tree, something like that. I went there on Sunday and had a not so impressive experience. The waitress wasn't having a pleasant attitude. She seemed phony, which is OK if she just didn't let me see her through. Second the food was horrible. I ordered fish and chips. My hubby ordered tuna sandwich and fruit. The fish had no flavor. Chips were soggy and cold. My hubby's food wasn't good either. At the cashier, I asked her if she deducted the sale's tax from me. She was afraid that I would have her do it all over again and deduct the tax for me. She presented a selfish mean attitude by asking me a mean question. I didn't even request her to do so. Anyway, the whole experience was not good. I will never go back again. more

Best Food/Best service/Best Ambiance 11/14/2010

Well, I go to the Oak Tree primarily for dinner and I have to say that I've really enjoyed my food, service and the historical ambiance this place has to offer. The drinks are the cheapest in town, maybe WA state- 1.99 well drinks- 1.99 beers. They have a huge menu with too many choices- which I'm not complaining about- it just takes a minute to read. Our service has always been prompt and friendly. I would recommend the halibut Fish and chips- with a beer! They have huge salads, and good pasta and steaks too. I go there often and will continue to return. I have not been to the buffett but I hear they are under new owners and perhaps things will get better in the breakfast/ lunch arena! Been going there for years- best food in town. more

terrible 3/31/2010

we went to the Oak tree on Sunday .It was horrid.the waitress asked us if we were seniors and wanted the brunch.we said we were seniors..For my fil and mil and us..The brunch was so so bad .it was cold.my eggs benidict was so hard and the sauce was all dried up and horrid.and COLD.COLD.I TOLD THEM IT WAS COLD.THEY said they would tell the manager.the manager had just been to the brunch area and had been checking and stirring everything.she knew.they knew they had turned off the eggs benedict cause it was all drying up.it was cold.my hubbys fried potatoes were cold.we paid 13.99 for 4 people .all seniors.then i asked hubby if he got the senior discount and he looked at his ticket and said no.so he went back in line to get his discount which we should have gotten in the first place.we could barely get coffee refills..HMMM.YES. I GIVE U MINUS 5 STARS.DENISE Pros: good cinnamon rolls Cons: terrible service and terrible food more

beg to differ 4/3/2009

Great service, while it might of been terrible before it's now under new owners and has some if the best food if not the best food available in the area. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Great Cinnamon Rolls - not so good on the service 7/17/2008

I've worked in Woodland for 14 years, so I've been to the Oak Tree dozens of times, and while I am a huge fan of their wonderful Cinnamon Rolls (gooey, yeasty and delicious) I'm appalled at their service. Yesterday only reinforced my opinon. It took OVER an hour to get our food, and during that time, neither our server or the manager would even make eye contact with us. It was like we didn't exist, or they had suddenly gone blind and couldn't see us any more. This kind of thing has been the rule rather than the exception. I was hoping that the change in ownership might help, but I guess not. My suggestion - if you go, eat before you leave the house/office, otherwise you'll starve, cause they won't even offer you a piece of bread or crackers while you wait, you'll just be ignored. Pros: Best Cinnamon Rolls this side of the Columbia Cons: If there is a problem with your order - you become invisible more

Not impressed 2/17/2008

Oak Tree is not very good. It is too bad, because I think they could change. The service is very good, but the food and menu need to be scratched. The menu is huge and has things on it like Jumbalaya, which I tried, and couldn't eat. There was absolutely no resemblance to authentic Jumbalaya. My husband had a burger which was ok but you could get a better one at Burgerville. The interior is very dated and dark. We will not be back until I hear that things have changed in a major way. Pros: Service Cons: Food, ambience more

best prime rib anywhere 8/2/2007

as a current employee i would like to say that the oak tree is returning to its glory days. With new seasonal menues. tasty lunch features, and a management team that cares about the costumer. I have been approached many times recently by customers who say the food is excellent way better than before. so if you haven't been in recently i urge you to go. You won't be disappointed. Pros: new good food, old good food Cons: nada more

A miserable place 1/21/2007

As a former employee, I will vouch for the fact that the Oak Tree has completely turned to Timber. more

Would not recommend...even to my in-laws! 11/9/2006

Service is better in the bar. I didn't think you could mess up a hamburger or even a shrimp cocktail, but the Oak Tree pulls through and produces some of the worst food I have ever had the opportunity to eat. I wouldn't recommend this place to my in-laws. Stick to what you know, there is a Mickey D's across the freeway. Cons: Small servings, horrible food. more

Don't waste your time or money 3/20/2006

The service is lousy, spaghetti sauce had tobasco or some other super spicy substance in it, small portions. Salad was only lettuce. Waited for refills, never got them. Left hungry more
