My friend and I went down for a long weekend and were looking for a place to stay in town. The location is great, walking distance from everything and next to a fun bar with live music. What we didn't realize, however, were all the rules of the house that we were never informed of before getting there. We were told that we were getting a room on the second floor, and had to share the bathroom in the hallway. What we weren't told:
We would get a key to our room, not to the house. the door is locked at midnight (before the bars even close) and you have one chance to ring the bell to have the owner come down and get you...and she will not be pleased when she does.
there are to be no males and females staying in the same room unless they are MARRIED
the shower in the shared hallway bathroom does not work and we had to shower outside.
if you plan on speaking to one another once you are in for the night, you will be considered rude.
we met a friend of ours down there who we did not think was going to be around, but at the last minute was. The occupancy of our room was three, and there were only two of us at the time. We thought him staying with us would be alright if we payed the extra cash in the morning. He was promptly thrown out of the house and forced to sleep outside.
Aside from all of the ridiculous rules that we had to find out the hard way, the place itself was sketchy.
