Throughout my childhood, the only place my father really bought auto parts was from Murray's Discount Auto Store. Heck, he bought my mother a second engagement ring from their diamond shop as well! These guys truly know cars, at least of the Domestic variety. They'll test your old parts to see if they're bad, they'll help you find whatever part it is you need, and they'll even come outside and take a look at your car, at least if you're special. I can remember times when one of the guys would come out and literally install a simple part on our car, free of charge. So it goes without saying that if you buy parts in the Detroit area, buy it from Murray's. They won't let you down.
