Great Facility! 5/15/2012

I love this gym! As a parent, I feel completely comfortable leaving my children in the childcare here. They are always friendly and the kids are entertained and always smiling when I come back to pick them up. The classes are really great. The diversity in the schedule keeps me coming almost every day and the instructors here are the best around. I don't think I have ever been to a bad class! I'm so glad I chose this gym. You can't do better for the money - that's for sure! more

Awesome gym! 5/14/2012

Wow - this facility blows me away. I love coming here, its such a clean gym and the staff is super friendly. I love O2, best deal in the area. more

Poor excuse for upsale fitness center 5/30/2010

They took a great small botique gym and turned it into a big warehouse facility with no concern for the working condition or cleanliness of the equipment. They gave a promise to upgrade an bankrupt Impact Gym facility which shows no signs of progress and the staff and client base are kept in the dark. Not the customer service that you would expect from their marketing. Keep it up and it will be a loosing proposition like Impact! Pros: Trainers Cons: Old and broken equiptment, crowded more

O2 rocks in PT 5/27/2010

So I decided in December that my new year was going to change drastically for me. I wasn't going to make a new years resolution, but I made a list of things that needed to change in my life. Yes you guessed it one of my priorities was the weight problem that was growing out of control (literally). I waited until the resolution-ers were done so the beginning of February I went looking for the right gym to join. I had every intension of working out with my roommate. Her being my motivation and me being hers. When she joined O2 with her boyfriend I followed along. I had my first assessment (that was with someone else) postponed because of a scheduling conflict at the gym and was very disappointed. Although everything works for a reason. Linda rescheduled it with Lisa Weber. I meet with her and just knew at that time she was the one that was going to help me. Since I have been working with Lisa I have lost just about 12 lbs, three belt notches, and my blood pressure has dropped dramatically. Not even taking into account all the muscle tone I have developed. I move faster on the volleyball court and do not get winded taking a walk or going up stairs. Lisa has not only been my physical trainer but she is also my personal motivator. She has covered both physical and mental aspects of my weight lose journey. I have come a long way and realize I still have a lot more to go, but just knowing that Lisa is there for me and with me, I see the changes I have envisioned. Pros: great personal trainers and staff Cons: working out in the temporary area more

Yvonne rocks as a Personal Trainer! 5/26/2010

Yvonne is a great personal trainer. I started with her last July. She rocks! Creative with the routines, customized to my needs and goals. She is a rare gem. Pros: intense, creative, motivating, knowledgable more

Lisa is a great trainer 5/26/2010

I have been working out with Lisa at O2 for about 2months now. I have worked out with other trainers in the past, so I have some experience with it. Based on my experience, my biggest concern, beyond being as efficient as possible with my workout time, is to avoid injury while getting in shape.\r \r From the outset, Lisa listened to my goals and concerns and has tailored my workouts accordingly. I have really enjoyed working out with Lisa, it is challenging, she has a great facility to employ to keep the workouts fresh and interesting, and we are making progress. Furthermore, I have avoided any setbacks due to injury on our way to losing 15 pounds, while gaining strength.\r \r I highly recommend working out with Lisa at O2 fitness on Towerview Court. It has already paid off for me and we aren't done yet. Pros: Staff and facilities Cons: none that I can see more

Trainer! 5/24/2010

“I have belonged to many gyms over the past 25 years. I started working out with Lisa Weber at O2 and have experienced a radical improvement in overall strength and stamina. I feel better and my muscles are more defined. Other trainers have just beaten me up to the point of exhaustion. Lisa has educated me. I can now work out 4 days a week and do something new everyday. Lisa has made my workouts fun again. O2 is a 1st class facility. Thanks to the staff and management as well.\r \r \r \r Dan\r more

Great Place to Get Fit 5/23/2010

Yvonne Cropp, my personal trainer, has combined a workout that includes strength training and yoga. It's awesome. I can't get over the improvement in my overall body conditioning in just a few months. Try it yourself. Pros: Great facility and personal trainers Cons: None more

O2 got me fit! 5/10/2010

i love this place! i joined 2 years ago, and have been to a few of their gyms in the area, all just as good as the other (even though some are a bit smaller than the others). The staff is so friendly at all of the locations that i've been to, but my favorite is the ones on falls and the one on creedmoor rd. I dont know what people are talking about with the rude staff - you must not have been in here lately as i have never had a bad experience! the group classes are GREAT and so are the two trainers that i've had @ o2. im glad to see them taking over the old impact building in cary - cant wait to see it completed! good job o2, keep up the good work! Pros: friendly staff, comfortable Cons: nothing! more

Why don't people read the contract?? 12/14/2008

I read all sorts of horrible reviews about O2 before I went to check it out. It seems these complaints are about (1) unfriendly staff and (2) problems being released from contract. I don't go to a gym for social actives...I go to work out. I don't need the folks at the front desk to talk with me for a half an hour. Everyone seems nice because I only exchange Hellos and Goodbyes with them. The group classes are excellent, though they're more full than I'd like on some evenings (it would be nice to have more room to move around), and the instructors are a blast, the music is awesome, and the motivation is helpful. The gym equipment is nice. My only real complaint is that sometimes the weight area is overcrowded because it's so small. I'm hoping there will be a Durham location soon. Anyway, anyone who signs things they don't read carefully gets what's coming to them. Pros: great classes Cons: not a large enough facility more

Peak Fitness is found at O2 11/3/2007

Thank you 02 Fitness! I've found a great place to work towards peak fitness in the triangle area and am as happy as I can be. Pros: awesome!!!! Cons: n/a more

Don't judge a book by its cover 10/26/2006

First impression was great when old staff was present. The staff seems nice but after a few days they all seemed fake. I was impressed with equitment and classes but over time you'll notice everything breakes. The timings are great but parking is horrible in evenings. Be prepared to walk allot. I worked out at allot of local gyms and I prefer Impact and a few other local gyms before this. There is a few good people but after a year it has gone down hill. Citysearch has many awards for this gym but be prepared. High prices, cold enviorment, lack of courtsey, pretend to care. If this is not a factor then this is an okay place if you keep to yourself. The biggest suggestion is to look around before the bells and whisteles impress you. Good luck and good hunting. On the flip side the trainers, and teachers are much more friendlier and actually show interest and regard. - Take care Pros: 21 century gym Cons: Too much to list but shop around before you decide more

Finally...A Health Club to look forward to 10/13/2006

As soon as you walk in you can see the difference in this club from any other. Immaculate, beautifully designed and the staff...sooo friendly! I was so tired of going to Gyms that are just a big room full of equipment. There are just so many things to like about this place I can't mention them all. My favorite...The Cardio Getaway - A nice, cool and dark room with Flatscreens and best of all, it's very private - nobody staring at you while you workout. Awesome idea! I am noy usually a Group Fitness person either but the RPM (Cycling) class is the best cardio workout I've ever had. Nice, clean weight area. No waiting. Thumbs up all the way! Pros: Immaculate club, Great equipment, Frendly staff Cons: It's not in my backyard! more

The best ever!!! 2/21/2006

I am a member of O2 fitness in Cary and I love this place!! I knew from the moment I walked in I would be hooked. I have been a member of other gyms in the area and none can compare to O2. The equipment is state of the art and each machine has it's own built in TV. My favorite aspect is that I can have privacy in the Cardio hideout room and relax without distraction. The location is perfect and located in the same promenade as Ruth's Chris and Bone fish grill-how convenient! Pros: Great value, Clean, Friendly staff more

I love O2! 1/15/2006

I've been going to O2 for over a year now, and I really love it there. The facility is so nice it actually makes you want to go. I've taken a couple of classes there, some are better than others. Most days they have great hours, although I would like it if they stayed open later on Sundays. I read other reviews that said the contract is a scam, etc., but I disagree. You should read everything before you sign it, and be completely sure you understand what you're getting yourself into with any service agreement. If your signature is on that contract and you still have a problem with their policy, that's your fault, not theirs. Pros: Super nice facility, Staff, Hours Cons: Sunday Hours more

DON'T SIGN THE CONTRACT --30 mile radius 10/9/2005

Young professionals/ students 02 fitness is NOT for you. They lied right to my face, they said, ""if you move more than eight miles from the gym, we'll end your contract."" Nine months later I moved 15 miles away. Gas prices the way they are, I couldn't afford to go. I decided to end my contract. The manager said, ""read your contract."" I could not believe my eyes!! It said you can move eight miles from your old house to your new house, but still needs to be thirty miles from the gym. SCAM!!! Please explain that. Why don't they just say thirty miles. So now I will be paying for a gym, I can't go to. If your starting careers, or moving o2 fitness is NOT for YOU. When I tell the staff my situation, they say "" sorry the OWNERS won't let you out of your contract. Pros: nice facilty, clean, nice equipment Cons: 30 mile radius, no headphones, not many classes more

You get results 1/5/2005

At O2 it is nice to use the best equipment and to be treated professionally. Fitness testing is great (I received a nnice booklet to track progress), my trainer Scott is really hands on and my results are guaranteed. Give it a try; it will be different than you thnk. Pros: equipment, private, educated staff more
