Did you ever wonder where carnival folks hang out in the winter? One place is by the Number 1 Flea Markets (formerly called the D Street Corral).
This is a scary place and one I did not feel safe in. After entering the gate of the "compound" (complete with toll operator) and finding parking most exhibitors are working out of garages on the property or in the main building which was formerly a saloon.
Weaving around poorly-planned aisles, it would be extremely difficult for people using mobility devices to navigate through the building. The characters that wheel and deal on both sides of the tables are rough, outlaw-looking individuals that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Prices were high, especially for used items and I'd be afraid to be burned by touching some of the electronics such as TV's and computers. What would make me visit here again? If my house had been broken into and I was looking for my stuff.
