Northwest River Park and campground is a nice densely wooded place to spend a day or weekend. The camping area is average size and easy to navigate. There are playground areas within the camping area and a large open field with covered picnic areas, restrooms nearby, an and a large playground. There is a lake with canoes and paddle-type boats. There are trails for hiking. The only drawback is that this place gets very muddy after a big rain.
