Nick's Lobster Fish Market

I've been coming to Nicks for about 5-6yrs and its just getting worse and worse! I decided on Nicks for my daughters graduation dinner and boy am I regretting it!!!! we paid close to 300 for crap!!!! my shrimp alfredo had NO absolutely NO flavor!!! the fried calamari was so greasy and not fresh at all!!! the side order of veggies was so disgusting!! even the steak was gross! wth!!!! oh and i just simply loved (sarcastically) the fact that $37 was added to the gratuity even though the waitress took 1/2 for our drink order, our food took forever to get to us ...this place really really went down in everything...never again! more

The food is CRAP!!!!!! Nicks went completely down hill... Don't waist your Money.. The food is either still cold on the inside or over cooked to crap!!!! The Manager needs to take a lesson to deal with people.... She is a straight up BI@#$!!!!! I have been going for 8 years the past three times was the worst crap I ever ate... Will never step a foot in this s*%$ hole!!!!! more

It's not exactly ritzy and glamorous -- but it's clean and ""homey."" The staff is nice and the food was great. Prices are decent. I had a large lobster tail for about $30 which was delicious. My friends and I shared mozzarella sticks and crab cakes which was great. Best crab cakes ever! Great place to go for a low-key evening or Sunday brunch. Remember not to overdress, lol. I decided to take my parents out to dinner so i took them to NICKS. I thought it would be a nice dinner but it wasnt. As soon as we got there, we waited by the ""please wait to be seated sign"" however the man behind the counter just 2 feet away never looked in our direction. One we were seated (20 mins later) the same man scratched his genitals and took 3 menus 2 sit us down. What a nice way to be greeted! Cons: staff uniforms or lack there of more

Went there last night with family and the best thing that was brought to the table was the chicken tenders - for a 10 year old. The broiled fillet of sole was baked onto the plate - had to scrap the fish just to eat it. When it got to the table, there was all this water on the top - I have never seen a fillet of sole like this before. Other orders were a steak, a cheeseburger (both came out well done even though the waitress never asked how both should be cooked), fried shrimp (which was very greasy and bad), a baked lobster with ""homemade"" stuffing (the lobster had no meat in it, looked old and it was a waste to get the horrible stuffing), and a lobster tail scampi (I don't know where the chef learned to make scampi, but that was by far the worst I have seen and tasted). The waitress and service was horrible too - she came by to take the orders and never really came back other than to give us our meals. The bread and check we had to get from someone else. Too bad the tip was included on the bill - or else her tip would have been minimal. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Cons: food, service, price more

I drive by every day and figured since the restaurant was connected to a fish market the seafood at the would be great, not so. I was unhappy with the service the waitress and the cashier were having their own long conversation while I was waiting to order. The menu was a sheet of paper that had been photo copied over and over and you could barely make out the words. Buy hey maybe this was their way of cutting cost. The coconut shrimps were over cooked and spongy and the crab cakes were hardly crab just filler, I am pretty sure whatever was in them was actually imitation. I was disappointed that I paid as much as I did for food that was not at all good. I would not recommend this place. Pros: Parking Cons: Food is horrible. more

I have to agree that this resturant is a little on the pricey side but that is the only issue I have with this place. The food is great. Definitely try the Shrimp Scampi. It is not on the menu but you can request it and they'll make it without any hesitiation. We always get the schrimp cocktail as an appeitzer and we never are disappointed. Great place to have a casual dinner on a nice summer night. Staff is so-so but never had a problem. Good place to take kids, not stuffy, very accomodating as I have gone there often with my two little toddlers. Definitely recommend, food is always fresh and atmosphere is just right. Wow, this restaurant has THE BEST seafood in this city and beyond! Everything is as fresh as it gets, and the portions are enormous! We ordered mussels, lobster bisque, clam chowder, and lobsters, and I have to say, you can feed 20 people with the amount of food that we got! The soups are rich and VERY meaty, and there were around 40 mussles in one plate! Pros: terrific food, parking, location near Belt Parkway Cons: prices (if you care about those) more

we went all the way to Nick's from Manhattan because of the lobster, but had the worst lobster ever - overcooked so badly it was tasteless; the steamers were overcooked too and the lobster sandwich was a pile of unrecognizable breaded seafood mush (well seasoned, but certainly no ""lobster"" sandwich); the crab salad was tasteless. nice to sit over the water outside, but the food was much worse than used to be. an expensive disappointment!
