A decent place for lunch. 7/4/2008

This was a decent place to grab a quick sandwich at lunch time, and the prices were fairly reasonable. The biggest draw for me initially was their claim to have ""hand crafted beers."" This restaurant does NOT brew it's own beer, according to the server they hadn't since she had been working there (just over a year.) They did offer beer, however it was your basic bottled domestics you would find at any run of the mill restaurant or convenience store. Definitely go if you want a good quick bite... but don't expect amazing beer selection. Pros: Good, decently priced food. Cons: Claims to have good hand crafted beers were false. more

Wonderful place for all ages 3/28/2007

Although most of the employees are probably students at the nearby university, please don't think of this as a college hangout. We are a couple in our late 50's, and we live ""over the mountains"" in eastern Tennessee, but we make the trip to have pizza here 3 or 4 times a year! We especially like the ""Farmer's Market"" veggie pizza. The wings are the best we have had except for in their city of origin, Buffalo, New York (we have family there). We also recommend the beer-battered onion rings; the dipping sauce that comes with them is great. Always a fun place, filled with families with kids, students, hikers, tourists, ""older"" people....everyone. Wish we could find pizza this good in Tennessee! more

A gem in the middle of nowhere - great beer too! 8/14/2005

On the charming Main Street in the sleepy town of Slyva, sits this bustling little restaurant. The fare is pretty standard (spaghetti, subs, cheese fries) except for the pizzas, which boast about 40 potential toppings, and the hand-crafted beers, which are excellent and cheap ($3.25 a pint). Just the thing to top off a day of hiking! I wish I had had more time to explore Main Street in Sylva! Casual atmosphere with tons of quirky bicycles and model airplanes. Pros: Pizza, Beer, Good Value Cons: Hard-to-get-to. more

Nick & Nate's Pizza 5/13/2004

This was the best pizza I have ever had. When you arrive at this pub it looks like a small, clean, busy place (all of which is true) but the service is outstanding and the food WOW!!! We ordered pizza, figuring with a 1 and 2 year old it couldn't be all that bad. Boy were we wrong! It was the best pizza I have ever had. It blows California Pizza Kitchen and our local brick oven specialty pizza places off the chart! Small town friendly, atmosphere, big city taste! HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!! We cannot say enough good things about this place other then we would drive the 5 hours back here just for the food! Pros: Small, Outstanding Service, Kid friendly more
