One of the Best Places in Ann Arbor to Spend Your Weekend 9/26/2006

After spending the summer in NYC, the first thing I did after moving back to Ann Arbor was visit the Arb. It's a beautiful place to go for a walk or have a picnic. I've always loved the arb but I have a greater appreciation for it after only having Central Park for the summer, which is nice but so artificial and unnatural being in the middle of a polluted city. Autumn is my favorite time to visit. more

Lots of trees, open spaces, great place for a walk or game of frisbee 8/11/2005

The Arb is a great place if you want to just go for a walk, have a picnic or romantic date, or if you want to play a game of frisbee. Often you'll see people hiking or riding their bikes along the paths. The arb has lots of beautiful trees and open spaces. During the summers sometimes you'll be able to catch productions put on by students or other community members. A Midsummer Night's Dream was a popular performance in the Arb. Located on the hill area of campus, it may be a bit out of the way but it's worth the trek to get back to nature. more

I love nature! 8/3/2005

The Nichol’s Arboretum, known by students mostly as “The Arb” is a greta place to play Frisbee, walk your dog, jog, hike, or just hang out. However, it is very important you don’t go at night because legend has it a crazy sasquatch roams the woods at night to…no, I’m just kidding. Check it out. You’ll love it. more
