Newport Syndicate

I have attended several weddings and corporate functions at the Newport Syndicate and the food, service and atmosphere was amazing! Because of this I recommended them to my sister who had her reception there this past year, and it was outstanding. My mother, sister, and I developed close ties with their entire office staff, especially Sarah the wedding coordinator, and it seems like sparkle2008 may just be one bad apple. I had my wedding here and it was awful. Our wedding planner that knew everything that was going with our wedding was not there. (not just that but she is very RUDE) My family and friends had to sit up a bunch of stuff, the staff was rude. No one knew what was going on and we were just minutes from the wedding. This place is nice inside but think twice before you plan. I had this place booked for 2 years and it was a joke how crappy it was. I even called the place afterward to tell the manager how upset I was about the wedding and she just laughed it off. It's very upsetting to have the day of your dreams rude by stupid people. \r \r Don't HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!!!! Trust me, I am not just saying this, The food is good and the ballroom is so pretty but IT awful!! They need to hire someone that knew what they are doing! more

This place is a dump! Went to a Christmas Party and wish I wouldnt have! The food was horrible and the entertainment was pitiful. I bet there were critters but it was so dimly lit, who would have known. I cant believe anyone in their right mind would pay to go to this place. If my parents would have rented this for my wedding, I think I would have dropped dead. Pros: There were non Cons: More than I can list more

The larger the reception the more help you need to make it go. They do a pretty good job of helping you. Parking is a problem. Some details were missed but overall the event was handled well. Food was great. It was clean. Staff was helpful. more
