The reason a social security number, as well as, other information is requested is so that the office can file the electronic insurance claim. And...if you call your insurance, and they attempt to tell you the SS# is not needed, then ask them why they give doctors offices such a hard time. If you do not want to give out your personal information, then you can pay the amount owed in full and file the claim yourself. Unfortunately, we now live in an ""insurance dictated"" world, where the blame is always placed on the doctors offices and their staff. It is just as frustrating for doctors and their staff on the ""other side of the window."" Filing your insurance is a courtesy that takes an endless amount of behind the scenes time. more

I agree do not go to this doctor. I was a new 1st time patient. Arriving at the office I asked why my SSN # was required, since most identity theft is obtain from information taken from doctors office's and nursing homes, I am reluctant to give out this information. I was told by individual taking my information, that they did not know, but it was the doctor's requirement. When I stated that I would ask the doctor why, I was told that the doctor would not discuss this with me, and would only discuss my medical treatment. I was than told that it is required, in case I fail to pay what I owe. When I noted that the office did not except personal checks, and only took cash, money orders, or charge card as payment, how I could fail to pay there was no answer. I took my paper work and left. It should be noted they already had my insurance, and drivers license info. Bottom line the main reason I left was because I was told that the doctor who required this information would refuse to discuss the reason why with me. more

Save your time and money and find a real podiatrist! ""Mr."" Levin's diagnosis was wrong as well as his treatment plan (with laser) which was NOT covered by insurance (because it is not proven effective!) We are truly wondering what he lasered since there was NO wart there. He absolutely doesn't seem like a doctor and I am so thankful for our gut feeling to get a 2nd opinion! There's a reason this office can get you in quickly! more

I was very unhappy with the service I received. From the rude office staff to usually making me wait over 40 mintues past my appt time, this ""doctor"" was very unprofessional. It seemed like he was more interested in billing my insurance than he was treating my condition. After several unecessary visits, lots of wasted money on things like orthodics, etc, and too many shots, I went to a new doctor that was much better.
