The Skinny
This branch of Suffolk University, in the former Paine Furniture building across from the Park Plaza, has a small gallery in the reception area that maintains a lively schedule of monthly exhibitions, running the gamut from fine arts through architecture and graphic design.
The program features local, national and international artists. Visitors can expect anything from images of Jack Kerouac and the Beat Generation through works from Vietnam, Latin America and China.
Openings frequently include poetry readings, live music and discussions of the work by participating artists and curators.
