SHE DOES NOT READ A SINGLE CHART 2/8/2011

Yes- my husband and I went in for the standard fertility testing- Dr. McConnell seemed to be a nice lady. On the first visit she detected an ovarian cyst, and then thereafter in the SHG re-noted the cyst, at first mistakenly saying it was on the left ovary, when I knew it was on the right. An honest mistake, which she corrected. Ok, I thought. When we went back for our follow up, I had a high estrogen level, which she warned could be the result of a poor ovarian reserve, or perhaps from a cyst. So, this is a big deal to me fertility wise. The lady had absolutely NO registry of me or of the cyst that she had detected on my right ovary- really SHE DOES NOT READ YOUR CHART OBVIOUSLY!!! since it happened pretty much twice. If she had read it, she would have MAYBE (as a good doctor would) said, "" this elevated level could very well be from the cyst we detected on both of these dates..."" but nothing - REALLY. She just referred us on over to her IUI and IVF finanacial department. Honestly, I understand that Dr. McConnell's objective is to get confused ladies pregnant, but really she does not give a rat's ass of concern or remembrance of YOUr situation, she just C.A.R.E.S. about the $$$ for herself. She wastes no time in your concerns or questions. She doesn't even care to get to know your name. Really you are nothing to her, and she lets you know that !!!! more

Best Fertility Doctor!!! 12/9/2009

We can't thank Dr. McConnell enough for the care she's given us and for helping make our fondest dream come true. We've waited so long and now it's all worth it! Pros: I'm already pregnant! more

Thank you! 12/9/2009

We just wanted to say thanks for the great care we've received. This whole process was emotionally rough but we always felt comfortable and treated with care and a personal touch-not just another patient. We are still amazed it took us only one try with one embryo. We can't wait for our little miracle to arrive! We will always be grateful and you will always have a special place in our heart! Pros: Caring, nice doctor and staff more

Not a good experience 11/30/2009

Not a good experience at all. After TTC for 4 years we turned to Dr.McConnell at Nevada Fertility Cares. I always felt rushed in her office and the wait time was always 45 minutes or greater. After a failed IUI attempt the nurse called me to tell I was not pregnant and before I could even grasp the fact that we failed she was asking if we wanted to try another round and schedule another appointment. Would have been nice to hear personally from the doctor and had a more sympathectic voice on the other end. After moving to another clinic I learned the IUI I had just paid $2800.00 to Nevada Fertility Cares was covered under my insurance. The office staff at Dr.McConnell's did not run my insurance properly and we were told it was not a covered benefit when it was time to pay for the service. If they would have done their job we could have saved over $1500.00. So when I called to see if they could correct the problem alls I got were voicemails and no call backs. After several attempts I did speak with someone however they would not make the situation right and pretty much told me sorry, nothing we can do. I was even willing to split the cost with them hoping for at least half my money back and offered to pay what the insurance company would have paid them but still nothing. I moved clinics and my experience was completely different and I can happily say the result was POSITIVE and I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Cons: Follow-through, staff, wait time more

Horrible customer service 11/26/2008

Nevada Fertility Cares.....does not. They have horrible service. They dont return phone calls, they make you come in to pick something up, then tell you its not here, come back the next day, same thing. Dr. McConnell herself has her appt with you and rushes you out, you dont have time to ask any questions. I had to ask her when i could start another cycle as we were walking down the hall.....well they wont be getting my business for that next cycle. It takes weeks and weeks to get appointments with them. Dr McConnell said I was ready to go for my next IVF cycle, then I was told later by a nurse that we couldnt do it then because the lab was closed....the dr has no idea when the lab is closed?? Dr says she will get your paper work to the person in charge and NEVER does it! horrible place for people going through infertility to go! Oh, she also charges waaay more than even the best places in the US! And your appointment NEVER starts on time. Skip this place and save yourself some sanity. Pros: IVF Nurse Coordinator is nice and considerate Cons: everything else more
