I'd been seeing another stylist (at another salon) that I liked, but didn't LOOOOOOVE. I decided to give Sparkle a try. Keelie cut, layered and colored my hair. It's fantastic. I have never been more happy with my hair and how it looks. She listened to what I wanted and didn't want and made the perfect cut. I had NO idea exactly what I wanted it to look like but somehow she knew. Pros: People that know how to do hair! more

I had extensions done by Ann Simone a few weeks ago, and they still look great! The best part is they look NATURAL!!!! Pals of mine say "Something is different, but I can't put my finger on it...." "It's my hair, it's thicker and about 4"-5" longer." The extensions are even the same texture as my own hair, not straight and not curly, perfectly matched "wavy". Ann Simone used the "Hot Locks" hair on me. These extensions are at at a mid-price range, and made extensions a possibility for my budget. Many salons just answer the phone and say "Yeah, we do extensions, and they're $1,000." At Sparkle Beauty Bar, you get a consultation first that explains the different types of extensions, the history of several types of hair applications, and you have many choices of what will work for your hair, and your budget. I love my new hair, she did a great job, she taught me how to care properly for my extensions (they do require extra work, and special shampoo, which was also not over priced). I came in a few days ago to have my hair cut for locks of love and they went above and beyond. I gave them free reign to cut and style my hair in a way that they thought would be flattering. Simone layered my hair and gave me bangs, I now have the best haircut I've had in years, and it was free! I also made an appointment to have my makeup done and got really good tips on what colors work with my skin and how to correctly apply....well, everything! Sean gave me the most amazing haircut, color and style....EVER! You can definitely tell that he knows the latest cutting and coloring techniques. I have NEVER been so consistently happy with my hair and have NEVER received so many compliments as I do since I started going to Sparkle almost 2 years ago! Keelie is awesome! They are friendly, non-pretentious and I appreciate that they keep themselves knowledgable about trends, the environment, etc. I also appreciate that Keelie has an opinion to offer. I've gone into salons before, asked if a certain cut or style will work for me and I am treated with a blank stare, a nod, then a DISASTER! Keelie has talked me out of bad choices, offered good alternatives and is always willing to make changes as necessary. I don't know what I'd do without Sparkle! I've suffered from thinning hair for years. I'd never considered getting extensions until just recently. I just got tired of trying to style my thin, fine hair. I couldn't do anything with it. I started looking up information about extensions online and then discovered AnnSimone here in town. I went in for a consultation and she surpassed my expecations. I only thought that there were just a couple of types of extensions to choose from. It turns out there are several kinds and she found the type that would work best for me; an integration. I had been worried that extensions might damage the remaining hair I have left, but this was VERY non-invasive. Very gentle on my own hair. I've been very pleased with the natural looking results. I was afraid that the change would be very dramatic and artificial looking. My friends that don't know that I got extensions have all complimented me, saying how nice I look lately: Did I lose weight? Did I perhaps get a new haircut? It's subtle difference, but to me it makes all the difference. I look forward to trying a different length soon, and maybe a different volume? Thanks so much AnnSimone! more

Just had Keelie do my eyelash extensions today. WOW. better than I had hoped or expected. Just absolutely gorgeous! I hated wearing mascara. Flaked off or gave me racoon eyes. I also hated trying to remove it. My lashes were thin and fine. When you look up close, you can't tell they're extensions. I can't dinstinguish where my lash ends and the extension begins . They are EXTREMELY comfortable and so natural looking, long and beautiful! The procedure took an hour and a half in which time I took a comfortable nap. Prior to, Keelie explained exactly what she was going to do and after explained how to care for them. She was very thorough and easy to talk with. I HIGHLY recommend. more

After three years wearing hair extensions, I expected that shedding and constant tangling were just part of the experience. I loved the experience of longer, fuller hair but I couldn't stand the "side effects" any more so I had them removed. I happened to walk by Sparkle during the Fremont Fest in Aug. and met AnnSimone. I'm so glad that I did! She is without a doubt the most professional,. knowledgeable hair professional that I have ever met. And I have spent years in the L.A. area and Manhattan as well. She is extremely committed to consumer education and it's of utmost importance to her that her clients know every pro and con of everything that is offered so that they will make the choice that they will be the most pleased with. This is definitely not a "one size fits all" business. I never imagined that could be so happy with hair extensions. I used to be asked "Do you wear hair extensions?" and now I hear "I love your hair!" regularly. I have had absolutely no knotting, tangling, or shedding. AnnSimone is happy to talk to those concerning hair extensions and the other offerings that Sparkle has. when you enter at the salon you are so well welcome. It is a young team with great experience and so talented. I actually testify for my mum who returned to Europe. She decided to try eyelashes and Keelie explains very well the options. My mum was able to decide without pressure. The total work was about 2 hours. She could relax, was laying down on a table while Keelie was doing her new eyelashes. At the end it was so amazing. It looked very natural, gave her some fullness and beautiful dark eyelashes. She was very confortable with it right after and even days after. She had no problem sleeping or no reaction what so ever. It was perfect. One week later she went back to europe and every body loved it! She was impress of the service and the result. She is so happy with it still. It has been 2 weeks now. Thank you so much Keelie for doing this to my mum. It meant a lot to me. She feels so great. HAIR EXTENSIONS. I went to Ann simone and I needed something to be done with my hair. My hair is medium fine. She was able to explain with care and was able to tell me a lot about it. She adviced the best for me, for my type of hair. I decided to go for it because after her explanation it made sense to me. She made sure my hair was ok and we booked for an appoitment. It took few hours. I ended up having more volume with extra length. Nobody would tell I have extensions. The result was amazing. The difference is so great and natural. I can as well re-use the hair which is a saving for me! I feel very confortable with it, after few days of adaptation. I am still feeling great after weeks and can't wait to go back in a week for my checkup appointment but also to see them! This team is great and outstanding people work there. I have been coming to the Sparkle Beauty Bar for about a year. I'm so glad that I found them. Their staff is wonderful, friendly, caring and fun !!! The atmosphere there is great and I enjoy the upbeat music they play. You will be greeted with a warm and friendly smile from AnnSimone and then asked what you'd like to have to drink. Ann has been doing my hair extensions for about a year. She does a fantastic job and at a very reasonable price. When I first came to her salon I had a cosultation and I wanted super long, long hair. She wasn't sure about that and researched. Sure enough she found it and I got what I wanted. Thank you. I get compliments all the time and wherever I go . The extensions just look so natural, soft and she did the perfect color match. Recently I had Keelie do my eyelashes. Before she begins she goes through all the steps that it takes to put them on and will also tell you how to maintain them. They look beautiful, super long and natural. Keelie now has a new makeup line of her own. Keelie Nicole. I had an appointment with her recently to have her show me how to do my eyes with the smokey affect. OMG......this girl does so awesome with makeup. By the time she was done it looked like I could've been on the cover of a magazine. It was fun to learn how to do my eyes. I absolutely love the service at Sparkle Beauty bar. Jen the secretary is an absolute doll, for helping out her beauticians, while AnnSimone and Her sister who work together as a team to make you look like the star, you set out to be! I got my hair colored, and though it didnt take, they worked together as long as it took to get my hair just the way I wanted it. They wouldnt stop until the job was done, and done to perfection! I then got extensions a week later, and Annsimone did such an amazing job everyone that see's me is just amazed, and asking for Annsimone's card. They are absolutely all amazing. You have to go there, Awesome Customer Service with Great prices! I travel from Salem to Portland just for them to hook my hair up, and I will continue to go there because they are exceptional. I have been an extension client for over 2.5 years.....and she is the best. I started out at a place in Lake Oswego....would never go there again. Then I found the diamond -- Simone! She saved me and my hair from uncertain death. She really knows this business and goes way beyond in servicing your needs. She makes sure you are extremely happy and does everything in her power to fix any issues that may arise. She is a wonderful caring person and her sister, Keelie, well they are both phenomenal. Simone Is amazing!! She really knows what she is doing. For me the hair extentions changed my life and for the first time I felt like I had beautiful full hair. She matched my color so perfect that my own colorist didn't know I had hair extentions until I told her. I love Simone, she is so great to work with!!! I actually don't get extensions at Sparkle, but I do get fabulous haircuts and customer service when I visit! I have never been more thrilled with getting my haircut as I have been at Sparkle! I have known AnnSimone for almost 4 years now and she is absolutely amazing with her hair extensions service. I visit her almost once a week and every time I see her she is making someone look beautiful with new hair extensions! Recently I brought my mother from France to visit Sparkle and work with Keelie for new eyelash extensions. The process, which was completely enjoyable, took about 2 hours. My mother who is about 60 could not feel any difference after the eyelashes had been applied, but absolutely loved the way they looked! These two girls are amazing and adorable artists. You really should go check them out! Whether you are interested in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, or other services, a visit to Sparkle is definitely worth the trip! AnnSimone is the most thorough extensionist in the NW. I had checked out every salon in Portland and surrounding areas and was disappointed in other stylists. It seemed as if they were just trying to make a quick sale and only offered what would make them the most money. AnnSimone sat down with me to show me all options available, which were best for me and which would not be so great. She was so friendly and honest about everything and didn't even charge me for the hour long consultation! I now have beautiful extensions which I plan on keeping in for a long time....but only if AnnSimone is around to work on me! Pros: Superior work by a friendly person in the cutest salon in Portland!
