The food is terrific and the decor is quirky and wonderful. The chef is obviously greatly talented and creative. She brooks no opposition, however. This place is the opposite of the "customer is always right" and more in the camp of "you are lucky we let you in the door." It is one thing for the chef to insist on cooking things her way and another thing to make your customers pay for food that they find undercooked and inedible. One member in our party discovered the hard way that although medium rare salmon may appear to the "untrained" eye as raw, it is perfect in the eyes of the chef. The right thing to do was to offer the customer another dish on the menu. The wrong thing to do was to berate the customer for believing the fish to be undercooked and to let us know that she really didn't care if any of us ever came back. It is hard to imagine that this restaurant will survive. more

I am simply amazed at the creative force that is behind neMesis. What can I say...the food is so thoughtful and seductive, the setting artsy and inviting, the staff were fun, helpful and clearly enjoying their work...and who wouldn't! You would have to be a complete moron not to embrace what is going on is this up and coming space in Miami. From the perfection of that focaccia bite to the perfectly cooked salmon with the hot and cold contrast of fish to quinoa and the sweet tang of that sauce and then the crunch of the salmon skin (how on earth do you get it so crispy?) straight through to those amazing Frigid Yum platter flavors...just brilliant! Bravo to the owner, Micah, for having the guts to put herself on a plate. Keep it up! I will be returning any time I come through Miami. more

NeMeses brings new meaning to bad service. They were slow, Inattentive, and just plain nasty.\r If you like being abused this is the place for you.\r Slightly less expensive than a root canal. more

Chef Edelstein has created some dishes that make you want to come back the next day to try also the ones you couldn't order the first time.\r The Rattatouille was to die for. The chocolates I couldn't stop eating.\r I am going back next week. more

I visited neMesis last Wednesday night alone, and I was blown away with the quality, creativity, and flavors! I had the duck potstickers and the scallops. Both dishes were impressive on all levels! In addition to amazing food, I found the chef and staff to be charming and passionate about their dishes. I couldn't wait to get back there, so I booked a table for Friday night to bring my husband and a friend whose birthday we were celebrating. \r \r Friday night, we had a feast of shared plates: Duck Potstickers, Lamb Sosaties, Tuscan Sushi, Apple Sage Chicken Sausage with Peruvian Potato Pancakes, Guava Chili Pork with spaetzle, Grilled Scallops with a sauce of roasted tomato, saffron, and chorizo, and Piri Piri Bison Steak with Huckleberry Dark Chocolate Sauce. For dessert, we had the Willy Wonka Sampler and a Gingered Peach/Apple Cobbler with a perfect touch of fresh basil. We all agreed that EVERY dish was impeccable, unique, and flavorful in its own right. (We also think that they should sell the spaetzle in quart containers to go. I never thought I'd be so excited about spaetzle...that shows the greatness of this restaurant alone.)\r \r All in all, I am in love with this bistro, and I am so excited to return and sample more of its incredible fare! more

From the owner with an attitude to the worst dessert I have ever tasted... this place was definitely not worth the prices. The meat was cold and the portions were miniscule. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. more

Nemesis is great, \r \r The kind of food you think about the next day and wonder what you'll to try the next time you go.\r \r Foods I love in some interesting ways, combinations I never had before, some flavors that were eye opening, like the P4 ( just try it ).\r \r Four of us had dinner, last Thursday night, The space is fun, eclectic--a great space to enjoy dinner. \r \r We all shared a tasting menu that was a journey. Dishes not to miss:\r \r Caramelized Shallot Foccacia - perfect start\r Bake Veggie Samoosa, Burst of curry, I could have eaten 20 of them.\r Duck Pot stickers - Rich duck flavor, one of the best duck dishes I've ever enjoyed and I love duck\r The P4, - the sausage on this dish was a totally new flavor, \r Smoke Veal Bobotie, the texture of this dish was amazing\r Guava Pork, Spatzle! Yes please\r The Bison, this meat was perfectly cooked and the chocolate in the glaze was a knock out, don't miss\r \r And for dessert we had a selection of ice creams and sorbets, just say yes to all of the deserts.\r \r The beer and wine selection includes a beer called Shiner from Texas. Brewed with grapefruit and ginger, try it.\r \r Chef Edelstein has to be one of the most courageous chefs in South Florida, it shows on the plate, it shows in the space, it was as fun and delicious I look forward to going back.\r \r I loved it. more
