Don and I stopped at Nelson Brothers in Clearwater on the way home from the Sportsmans Club. You know, the one at the truck stop on 94. This place is so open and clean and friendly and the food is sooo good with reasonable prices. Don had the grilled chicken sandwich and I ordered the Taco Salad. That salad was so good and it was served with salsa instead of the taco sauce you normally put on it. That salsa made it tatse so much lighter and mild. Personally , I like my salsa with a little kick which would have been a great alternative choice but the kind they served was really good too. You know, a couple of weeks ago we stopped there too and both of us had the Minnesota Olmlet that was really good too but a bit suacy for me, Don liked it though, at least he didn't say he didn't like it. Me , I guess I thought the filling would have been like wild rice, cheese, and I think there was chicken in it too I don't really remember, peppers &mushrooms now those ingredients without the sauce would have been better I think, but thats me. I think I'll treat Davante when he comes for a few days. I don't remember seeing a childrens menue but we can always bring the rest home. He loves muffins and pie so I'm sure I'll buy him those too. We should see if Virginia and Joe want to go sometime. The service was fast and friendly and the prices are resonable and I think the food was better than what we had at Olive Garden and Bakers Square (the pies are deffinately way better, and their bread is better than Panera's. It's definitly worth the drive, not that it's all that far. I can't believe it has been like 2 or 3 years since I've been to Nelson Brothers. I just forgot it was there. When we drive to the cities I think of it but it's not a convienient time to stop but from now on it'll be on my list of restarants to choose from.
Pros: Thumbs Up!Great ambience, parking, and outstanding service and food.
Cons: None what so ever.
