The highlight of my day 1/7/2012

Neil has a tremendous "bedside manner" for those of us who are a little impatient in front of the camera. We talked through the whole shoot, in a way that kept me relaxed, and we hope, looking natural. The smallest little changes in the poses created remarkably different results. He's a very talented man. more

Neil has done our family portraits for several years. He has a great eye for how to set-up the portraits. We are always very pleased with the finished product. He also very good with working with dogs who are not always in the mood to be photographed. He is also very focused on ensuring the best for all aspects of his business. He continually demonstrates to us his passion for his work. His customer service is unsurpassed. We highly recommend him for your portraits. more

Very accommodating and professional 12/5/2011

When I needed a professional headshot at short notice Neil was the first person that came to mind. I have used Neil's services in the past for a similar reason. I was particularly impressed this time however by Neil's responsiveness with such a short time frame and at such a busy time of year. The results were very professional as expected. I also enjoyed learning more about Neil's talents and offerings viewing some of the edgy and sporty portraits Neil has done for athletes and high school seniors while I was in his studio. more

Beautiful work, courteous service, and affordable pricing 12/5/2011

Neil has photographed individual and group recital portraits of our dancers for the past four years. We have not found another company able to produce his quality of work or be as accommodating. Incredibly flexible and easy to work with. more

Personable, creative and extremely talented. 11/22/2011

My company is a consumer goods manufacture and we needed a product photographer so we contacted Neil Gates Photography. Neil was more than willing to work onsite and willing to get right into it to meet our needs. He specializes in taking portraits, however he was able to customize his services to fit exactly what we are looking for in a seamless manner. Since then, he has become our go-to product photographer. His willingness to work with us when we need him and under tight deadlines is great. He takes direction really well and comes up with creative ideas as to meet our needs and to make our products look good. His prices are reasonable and fair, and in this economy you want to feel that you're getting the most for your dollar, especially when you're working on behalf of a company, and Neil makes very good fiscal decisions. Neil is detail oriented and goes above and beyond to create the perfect portrait. 11/9/2011

Over the last 10 years we have used Neil twice for our family portrait. Last summer, during our family reunion, we had Neil take pictures of all 23 of us at my mother in law's home. He was patient and fun and the portrait is a treasure we are all grateful for. Neil doesn't just take pictures, he gets to know his clients and showcases personalities. After meeting our family, he took it upon himself to revisit my mother in law's home the next day to create a family nostalgia video. He intuitively knew all the special items around the house which captured all the childhood memories for my husband and his five brothers. Neil was professional and his service is fantastic! more

Neil did an quality photo shoot which produce an incredible photo of our daughter. 10/31/2011

We liked the new "EDGY" look Neil was advertising and decided to give that a try. The photo shoot was thorough and efficent. The final outcome was this incredible photo of our daughter showing off her athletic side. Thanks Neil for a job well done. more

Very accommodating and patient! 10/25/2011

Initially, we were given Neil Gates Photography name and information through my son's orthodontist. Upon the removal of his braces, we were given a complimentary 8x10 portrait of our son. We were so impressed with Neil. He was so accommodating and wanted to make sure that the weather, lighting and everything was just right. We really liked how we had the opportunity to come to his studio to choose the proofs of our son we liked. Neil had them displayed on the wall, all the different poses and sizes. We had such a difficult time deciding which one to take, so we ended up choosing two poses! We are planning to use him for our family portrait as well as for when our kids are seniors in school, we'll have one in college and one in high school. Neil is so great to work with, we would highly recommend his services to anybody! more
