Nationwide Transmissions

My car was diagnosed with needing a new transmission or having it repaired. I left it with these guys and they looked at it for 3 days. While it could not be fixed, they sought other professional advice to make sure it wasn't a problem with the motor. They also didn't charge me anything for looking at it for 3 days. more

I called here today hoping a dedicated transmission shop could handle swapping a bell housing/case that bolts right up to the transmission I acquired so I can do my 6-speed swap. After being asked 20 essentially irrelevant questions from the shop's perspective (as I would be providing the transmission and bell housing only, not the entire car) I was told that they didn't want to get into something like this because then if it doesn't work they don't want to coming back on them. I was OK with that explanation as many shops avoid performance type work such as this, but the man then went on this 5 minute know-it-all rant about how ""you guys frustrate me"", ""hacking a car together"", ""if you want something different buy a different car"", ""this is what we do"". It was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. As if I didn't research this for hours to know it will work before buying $800 worth of parts! Cons: Closed minded and arrogant more
