Curious about the Boy Scouts 8/13/2005

Learn all about the boy scouts and the organization's history at this place. Given all the media coverage lately about the tragedies affecting the scouts, you might be interested to learn about scouting's beginnings. Enjoy virtual reality adventures, some hands on exhibits and a Norman Rockwell art gallery. Nice place to take your kids. more

Cool 7/28/2005

The National Scouting Museum is one of the better museums to take a kid especially a little boy to. They have tons of great things in this place all having to deal with the boy scouts of america. It is a very historical and neat place. There is so much to do and see here and then there is also a lot of things for the kids to interact with. I think that this place is one of the better museums in this area.! more

Something interesting to do 7/28/2005

This is a fabulous museum dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America. It costs $8 for general admission to get in but is so full of information. It is mainly meant for school field trips, but I'd say it makes a great tourist attraction as well. They show the history of Boy Scouts and include the first Boy Scout books and souveniers. It is a great place to take your younger boys or the family for a touristy day out. They also are always looking for volunteers and artificats to keep the place up and running. It is sure to be a memorable experience, but is best in a group. more
