Portland Headlight and Fort Williams are such beautiful spots to spend a sunny afternoon. Right on the coast the lighthouse at Portland Headlight is picturesque. You can spend the afternoon barbequing or walking around the trails and the old forts. Some of the trails can we a bit tricky, so be sure to wear good footware. There is a gift shop and small museum inside Portland Headlight. more

Nice place for familes 8/17/2005

The museum and gift shop are only a small part of visiting Portland Headlight.It is situated in Ft Williams park which has playground equipment,old forts,a small beach,cookout areas,fileds for running and playing-it's a childs dream come true.It's also a popaular place for kite flying! The museum and gift shop are nice but they are not what draw me to Portland Head light. more
