Very Pleasant Experience 10/5/2008

I gave this four stars since it was better than we expected from somewhere that surely derives much of its income from tourists. Our server did a nice job as did the others waiting the tables around us although she wasn't able to answer some of our questions about the food at first asking but she went and talked with someone and came back with adequate explanations. Pros: Food comes out quickly, staff seem to care Cons: Tourists at the next table all having well done steaks more

Great ambiance, great prime rib! 4/13/2008

This place has been around for nearly 100 years and the building and the view are hard to beat. Great cathedral like ceilings with real wood fireplace. Glass ceiling in the ""falls room"" to see the falls while you dine. Prices are adequate for what you would expect. $15-$23 for dinner and lunch from $9-$15. Staff friendly and knowledgeble. Only downside is that they still use styrofoam for to go containers. This place can get quite busy on weekends and summers are chaos here, but a trip on a weekday afternoon or evening makes this a great stop. A great place a bite after a long hike or a great stop on your scenic drive. Pros: Food, service, view! Cons: Parking, Styrofoam containers, crowds on weekends. more

beautiful location- friendly staff 2/5/2008

The staff is extremely friendly and you cant beat the ambience. The food is quite good but the location is so beautiful that you can forgive them if the price seems a little higher than it should be for basics like chicken strips and fries. Pros: ambience, friendly staff, Cons: Not as much of a ""northwest cuisine"" experience as I would expect for the location and price. more
