Best

Always consistently delicious pizza. The pies are gigantic, but the crust is very thin, so it's not too much food. Definitely recommend this joint for yummy pizza delivery! PS. T...

Worst

I guess I should 'eat pizza from else where and not complain' but the office orders the pizza and, hey, it's a free lunch! So here's my 2 cents: the crust is so thin, you could us...

The Best NY stlye pizza 2/11/2007

This is the best New York style pizza on the West Coast that I have found so far, (I'm a former east coast native). Just the right amount of sauce and toppings, and the crust is perfectly thin. If you don't want to deal with the crowd they are happy to deliver! Pros: Great Pizza, Great Service, Friendly Staff Cons: Parking more

Great Pizza 11/8/2006

I'm a pizza lover, and this place deserves all the kudos for making a pizza to remember. The freshness of the ingredients, the amount of toppings on every slice, and it's a great lunch spot. Pros: Pizza more

Take it from a New Yawker!!! AWESOME! 9/6/2006

For years, I've heard how great Mulberry Street is...well, turns out the rumors are TRUE!!! The pizza is one of the most authentic I've found in LA...and I eat a lot of pizza! The pie (I mean, ""pizza"" for you Angelos!) is so big, the box won't fit in my refrigerator! The slices are darn big! Very nice thin crust! As for the pasta, eh...nothing to speak of. The sauce was rather sweet...but as mentioned in the Citysearch profile, the chocolate cake rocks!!! That is, if you like the kind of chocolate cake served at birthday parties you throw at home...which I LOVE!!! And if you want delivery out of the immediate area, go to the LABite site... Enjoy! Pros: Great pizza, thin crust, made to order Cons: Pasta wasn't so great more

Addictive 8/20/2006

Been eating here since I was a kid with my parents. I've seen everymajor celeb here from James Caan to Stallone to Hilton. Pizza is a cooking marvel, theres is few other places in LA where you can get pizza this good. DEF worth a try and you will be back Pros: Amazing Pizza Cons: tad pricy more

Best NYC Pizza in California 5/21/2006

Cathy has done a great job bringing us a taste of NYC pizza to the left bank. The pizza is consistently great, service is fast and they truly appreciate your business. If you want a thicker crust try their Sicilian slices, but for a taste of real New York go with their regular pizza pie which is giant sized and rarely is there any leftover for breakfast. I agree with the other posting that if I lived next door I would be morbidly obese - I work next door and have to fight myself not to drop in for a slice at lunch everyday. more

the best pizza around 5/13/2006

Mulberry is deifnitely the best pizza in L.A. Prices are cheap, the slices are enormous, and the service is great...overall the best!!! I recommend this place to everybody! Pros: Taste, Service, Inexpensive Cons: Difficult Parking, small more

Great pizza-neighborhood type of place 3/10/2006

This pizza is amazing. I'm a NYer and just found this place. The pizza crust here is thin and crisp and has a great flavor. The sauce is just right and the toppings are fresh. The chopped salad is excellent, too. The guys who work there are friendly and efficient and the placed has a casual, around the corner atmosphere, even on Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills. Pros: pizza, salad, sauce more

Only OK 2/12/2006

The pizza is good. Meanwhile, the place is a little dark and dingy, the prices are high, and as far as I know they don't deliver. I think this place is over-rated, but ok. Pros: good pizza Cons: no delivery, over-priced, lack of ambience more

impressed the east coast 8/20/2005

When I first tried this pizza I was completly shocked! California has good pizza! SUPER GREAT! Pros: Is soo good! Cons: don't deliver far.. more

best pizza place in LA 7/19/2005

I have never written a food review, but after seeing someone else scathing review, I am compelled to write. Mulberry street is the best pizz place in LA. That said, if you don't like thin crust, don't go there. The toppings are fresh and delicious, but the real story is the wonderful crust and tomato sauce. The crust has a wonderful, chewy consistancy, and great tase. The sauce is neither too sweet nor overly spiced. simple and perfect. I highly recommend Mulberry Street Pizza. more

best pizza in town 4/26/2005

By far the best thin crust pizza in town! Period!!! I'm glad I'm not living near by or I would quickly be morbidly obese. Mulberry Pizza is a Must Eat! more

poor pizza, nice location 4/1/2005

I wanted to like Mulberry Pizza, but if I am to be honest, the pizza just was not very good at all. I was disappointed. The employees were nice and I liked the neighborhood feel of the restaurant (there were kids in their baseball uniforms eating with their parents, etc.). There are a lot of other places nearby, too (i.e., Cold Stone Creamery is next door). But the bottom line is that the pizza was nothing special and, in my opinion, subpar. But some people might just want to go for the other amenities (sometimes kids don't care what pizza tastes like, as long as it's pizza). Pros: friendly, good atmosphere, nice location Cons: poor pizza more

Best Pizza Ever 10/18/2003

My wife, sister-in-law, nephew, and I were in Beverly Hills recently and we tried Mulberry Street Pizza. My nephew is a pizza fanatic, so we ate pizza at several locations during our trip to California. We rarely ever agree on anything, let alone food, but all four of us agreed that Mulberry Street had the best pizza we had ever eaten. Now that we are back in Pennsylvania, my wife and I have been trying out new pizza joints in the desperate search for a pizza that can come close to Mulberry Street pizza. We have failed. The reason is simply this: we have tasted the best and now all other pizzas just tend to disappoint. My only recourse may be to call Cathy Moriarty and ask her to open a Mulberry Street Pizzeria in my neighborhood. Pros: Pizza Cons: Bathrooms more

Good, but not from NY 8/7/2003

I am a transplanted NY'er trying to find good pizza. I was told over and over to try Mulberry. I did. Yes, it was the best that I have had (so far) in LA. It wasn't NY pizza that it seems to advertise. The crust was so paper thin, that i thought nothing was in the delivery box! Very good flavors, but don't say your NY Pizza! Pros: good flavor Cons: crust was too thin more

Mulberry Tracing Paper Crust 4/23/2003

I guess I should 'eat pizza from else where and not complain' but the office orders the pizza and, hey, it's a free lunch! So here's my 2 cents: the crust is so thin, you could use it as tracing paper. It's just a flour and water foundation to ladle sauce, cheese and whatever topping. I could do this very same thing on wax paper and nuke it all in the coffee room micro. How about a choice of a thicker crust? You could be sitting on a winner - get up and look! Thanks! Pros: Office buys pizza Cons: Crust way too thin more

almost as good as real east coast pizza 3/7/2003

Finally, LA gets pizza right....If you're looking for flav- go to Mulberry, but bring a credit card cuz you're paying the BH rent along wth that vegggie slice. Pros: good food, handsome employees Cons: pricey, small, attracts teenyboppers more

A Winner 3/7/2003

If you order delivery, your pizza might be cold by the time it gets there. A better alternative is going in to the South Bev Hills location and sitting at the counter. This salty pizzeria is straight out of Brooklyn, with its owner constantly keeping one eye on the food, the other on the game (any game, any time, always on the television in the corner). It's family friendly and they'll remember your face. Oh yeah -- the pizza? The best in town. more

rude and bad attitude on the phone... 2/21/2003

The veggetarian pizza is great, however, their service at this location sucks! It isn't very pleasant to talk to rude phone attendants with a bad attitude. There have been several incidents (I'm finally writing a review about it), for instance, today the attendant hung up on one of us, I guess we must have asked an unreasonable question: Why is the pizza 27 dollars when two weeks ago it was 23? Anyway, we'll try ordering from the other beverly hills location and see what happens. ,-) more

Molto bene! 1/16/2003

This pizza is the closest to great NY pizza in LA. They have a large selection of toppings, the sauce is a good consistency and tastes great. more

The BEST - No Question 1/13/2003

Simply the best pizza I've ever had while in California. Crusts are perfect, toppings are fresh and plentiful. Try the sicilian slice too - it's fabulous. Pros: food, inexpensive, fairly quick Cons: smallish more
